Big Brother 24 was one of the most exciting seasons in years, and it led to two relationships that continued after the show. Big Brother 24 had some very memorable moments, including when Taylor Hale became the first Black woman to win BB, and the first contestant ever to win the grand prize and America's Favorite Houseguest. In addition, Michael Bruner broke Janelle Pierzina's single-season veto record, which stood for 16 years, and Paloma Aguilar self-evicted from the competition. There were also several weeks of blindside evictions, which made the game unpredictable and shocking.
Big Brother fans were also surprised by some romances that developed in the house. Kyle Capener and Alyssa Snider had instant chemistry, which led to a complicated showmance. In addition, fans were shocked when Taylor began a late-in-the-game showmance with eventual runner-up Monte Taylor, especially since they thought her heart was with fellow contestant, Joseph Abdin. Taylor and Monte broke up before finale night, leaving fans to wonder if Taylor would pursue a relationship with Joseph outside the game. As 2022 comes to a close, here are the Big Brother 24 couples who are still together.
Taylor Hale & Joseph Abdin
Taylor and Joseph reconnected after Big Brother, and they recently celebrated their one-month anniversary together. Nicknamed "Jaylor" by their fans, Taylor (a 27-year-old personal stylist and former Miss Michigan USA from West Bloomfield, Michigan), and Joseph, (a 25-year-old lawyer from Lake Worth, Florida), were just beginning to develop real feelings for each other. Then, they were torn apart by the Big Brother "Split House" twist. Joseph was evicted without even having a chance to say goodbye to Taylor, and their fellow houseguests jumped on the chance to make Taylor believe that Joseph had betrayed her.
After Big Brother, Taylor found out the truth, and she and Joseph decided to get to know each other better in the real world, as friends first. She even brought him on the cruise that she won as part of her America's Favorite Houseguest prize. In order to avoid trauma bonding, Taylor and Joseph wanted to attend therapy, and wait a bit before beginning a romance. They are now in a full-fledged relationship, and have even met each other's families. They often gush about how happy they are together.
Alyssa Snider & Kyle Capener
When Alyssa (a 24-year-old marketing representative from Sarasota, Florida), and Kyle, (a 29-year-old TikTok star from Bountiful, Utah), met in the Big Brother house, Kyle first tried to resist their undeniable attraction, in order to focus on the game. However, they started a showmance, and even professed their love for each other in the house. This became complicated when Kyle was put in an increasingly uncomfortable position, as he was often forced to choose between his Leftovers alliance and Alyssa. This made the couple drift apart, and so did Kyle's racial controversy. During the latter scandal, he acknowledged that his implicit biases led him to believe that the people of color in the house (including his own alliance members) were forming a race-based alliance. Alyssa eventually broke up with Kyle, but they did not rule out becoming a couple again in the future.
Alyssa and Kyle did get back together after Big Brother ended. They have been documenting their relationship on social media, including posting about their trips together, to places such as Florida and Hawaii. They are very happy as a pair, and are moving past all the controversy that surrounded them in the Big Brother house.
Big Brother 24 led to two happy relationships that will hopefully last for a long time. Taylor and Joseph, and Alyssa and Kyle, had to overcome many obstacles in order to find the happiness that they deserve. In the past, Big Brother has led to many happy marriages and relationships. Fans wish both couples all the best as they begin the next chapters of their lives together.
