Over the course of three Pitch Perfect movies, audience members saw some Barden Bellas leave the a capella group, and others return for just one more performance. The group typically consists of right under a dozen members, which is convenient since that's how many star signs there are in western astrology.
While only a handful of the Barden Bellas get the spotlight in each movie, the audience can see the broad strokes of the personality traits highlighted in the different zodiac signs. Fans can further see just which Barden Bella has the same traits as their own zodiac sign.

The movie ushered acapella music into the spotlight and paved the way for singing competitions and the success of groups like Pentatonix. The success of the movie’s sequels has had fans asking for a fourth movie to have one more adventure with the Barden Bellas. While that doesn’t appear to be in the cards for fans, Bumper In Berlin, a series focused on Adam Devine’s character, streams on Peacock in late 2022.
Aries: Florencia
Florencia makes her debut in the second movie as a transfer student who joined the group at some point in the time jump between movies. She obviously fits right into the group, but she's not someone who's afraid to jump into an argument if necessary.
Florencia has that Aries impulsive streak, jumping to conclusions when other people start telling her stories, and ready to step right into a performance at a moment's notice. She also has a penchant for performing gymnastics when excited.
Taurus: Cynthia Rose
Cynthia Rose makes her Barden Bella debut in the very first movie. She remains a rock for the group, contributing on both vocals, rhythm, and percussion in the arrangements.
Her steadiness for the group is part of what makes her a Taurus. Those born under the sign are steadfast, but also stubborn, and they tend to have a hard time letting go of creature comforts. In the case of Cynthia Rose, that means relationships ending hit her hard, and she drowns her sorrows in card games.
Gemini: Jessica And Ashley
It seems only right that the Bellas representing the sign of the twins are a pair. Jessica and Ashley might audition separately, but once they join the group, they're also joined at the hip.
Geminis are known for their ability to charm and their ability to blend in. Jessica and Ashley blend in so well in the first movie, that Aubrey briefly forgets they're even part of the group, and sometimes, the other members don't know who is who. These Geminis might not be the stars of the movie, but they do roll with the punches and quickly adapt to every ridiculous situation the Bellas find themselves in.
Cancer: Denise
Denise only appears as part of the group in the first part of the trilogy. She is mostly a silent background player, but when the Bellas decide to spill their secrets, the audience discovers she's more emotionally attached to the group - or one specific member - than they might have thought.
Denise appears to stick around in the group for Cynthia Rose, as she proclaims to her that she still loves her when Cynthia Rose spills the details of her gambling problem. She also becomes fast friends with Lilly, despite the latter never speaking loudly enough for anyone to hear her, as well as Jessica and Ashley. Cancers are the kind of people who see the good in everyone and form quick emotional connections to their new friends.
Leo: Stacie And Katherine
Stacie likes short term relationships, parties, the Bellas, and not much else. She loves it when she gets the chance to perform, whether that's on the stage, in the middle of a crowd, or in the basement of an eccentric acapella fan. That's because Stacie is a Leo through and through. Leos are party people. If there isn't a party, they bring it with them. They know how to cut loose, have fun, and make sure all eyes are on them. Leos also, however, know how to share the spotlight with their friends.
Katherine Junk has a lot in common with Stacie in that they’re both always ready to have a good time with harmonies and choreographed numbers. Katherine might not be as overt with her love for a party as Stacie, but it’s evident that she has a lot of love for the good times the Bellas had when she was one of them. She shares the spotlight with her daughter, encouraging Emily to sing and find her own place in the sisterhood.
Virgo: Alice
Alice is one of the first Bellas the audience meets, but she's not around for long. She's the original leader of the group that leaves her pitch pipe in the hands of Aubrey and Chloe, though she does join in with past Bellas for their Worlds performance in the sequel.
Alice might be hard to peg since most of the time the audience sees her, she's just yelling at Aubrey. What the audience does know, however, is that Aubrey holds on to Alice's carefully cultivated plans the next season. Alice is a planner, a true Virgo. Like a Virgo, she's got every step needed to make it to the top accounted for, and Aubrey picks those steps up and refuses to let them go.
Libra: Amy
In a lot of ways, Amy could give Stacie a run for her money in the Leo department. Amy also, however, has that Libra spark that can make her charming and more likely to play peacemaker than the rest.
Amy is the one who will try to see both sides of the story when Beca's drive forms a wedge in the group. She's also the one more likely to keep everyone's secrets, even though her sociable behavior would make it seem like she couldn't.
Scorpio: Beca
Beca has a lot of ambition, which could make her seem like a Capricorn, but there's actually a lot more Scorpio to her. Though she's drawn to the women who make up the Bellas, she still holds them at arm's length, keeping some of her biggest desires a secret from them.
Like any Scorpio, however, Beca also aggressively goes after what she wants, dropping mixes off to the college radio DJ her freshman year, voicing her ideas at a radio internship, and giving herself solos in the Barden Bellas that aren't part of the plan.
Sagittarius: Emily
The legacy member who joins in Pitch Perfect 2, Emily is a born Bella. She grows up around music and the stories of the singing group and can't wait to join them, though the experience isn't quite what she expects.
Emily's enthusiasm for music never waivers, nor does her love for getting her words out there. A Sagittarius is a born storyteller. Emily is the only Bella the audience sees writing her own music - and tell her own stories. She also clearly loves to learn, another Sagittarius trait, as she constantly asks questions about the Bella process and by the third movie, is in law school.
Capricorn: Aubrey
There is no Barden Bella more focused on ambition, control, or holding on to the past than Aubrey. Aubrey is the leader of the Barden Bellas in the first movie, and she never completely lets the group go.
She definitely exemplifies the Capricorn traits of ambition and hard work - as well as trying to keep her emotions in. Aubrey puts all of her energy into her goals, and she struggles with expressing herself properly when things don't go her way.
Aquarius: Lilly
Lilly is a bit of a mystery. She's so painfully shy that no one can ever hear her speak, but she's got some pretty outrageous interests, like beatboxing under highway overpasses or setting fires.
Those born under the sign of Aquarius tend to be the rebels of the zodiac. They like to go their own way. That might be why Lilly is the kind of person who takes it upon herself to cut Beca out of a bear trap net in the second movie instead of helping the rest of the group.
Pisces: Chloe
Chloe is the first one to realize that the Bellas need to think outside of the box. She loves the Bellas more than anything in the world, but she recognizes the need for change, and immediately connects to Beca and Amy when they're just walking by the Barden Bella booth at orientation,
Chloe is undoubtedly a Pisces. She's able to connect to others through music, and she's much more observant than others give her credit for. Her creativity leads to enjoyment of Beca's mashups as well.
