With many scintillating views of Victorian London in its backdrop, Enola Holmes 2 continues through the ebbs and flows of adulthood that the titular character faces after becoming a full-fledged female detective-for-hire. Once she successfully solves her first case in Netflix's Enola Holmes, Millie Bobby Brown's character sets out to create her own detective agency. Unfortunately, to her dismay, things do not go as planned, and her mystery-solving endeavors almost end in Enola Holmes 2. However, just when she is about to give up, she finds a new case that forces her into the dark underbelly of London.

As the plot suggests, Enola Holmes 2 treads its predecessor's path and leads viewers through many colorful London locations, including bleak factories and vibrant music halls. Although the Enola Holmes sequel unfolds its thrilling detective romp primarily in London, many of its London scenes were actually recreated in other locations around England like Kingston upon Hull and Dorchester. On that note, here is a detailed breakdown of Netflix's Enola Holmes 2's primary filming locations

Kingston Upon Hull

Millie Bobby Brown as Elona Holmes

Sometime in early October 2021 (via The Yorkshireman), Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill were spotted in Hull’s Old Town for the filming of Enola Holmes 2. While Cavill was seen dressed in a Victorian outfit in the Old Town streets of Hull, Millie Bobby Brown was sighted strolling through Hull's streets between takes. Reportedly, The High Street, Scale Lane, Bishops Lane, and Chapel Lane in Hull’s historic old town were all shut down to traffic for the shooting of Enola Holmes 2. However, many spectators (via Twitter) still caught a glimpse of the Netflix movie's stars on sets created in the town's picturesque streets. As seen in one of the scenes of Enola Holmes 2, Millie Bobby Brown runs down the alleyway on Hull's High Street while being chased by cops. In another scene of the movie, Henry Cavill's Sherlock Holmes can also be spotted passing right past the old law court at the Guildhall, which has been given a Victorian London semblance to make it a good fit for the film's period setting.

Dorchester

A prison in the historic market town of Dorchester was transformed into a set for the filming of Enola Holmes 2. Constructed in the 19th century, Dorchester Prison in Dorset was closed in 2013 but became active again in 2021 during the filming of the movie (via BBC). Netflix's Sherlock Holmes spin-off, Enola Holmes 2, was apparently filmed in the prison under the working title of "Street Dogs" and many cast members from the film were also seen using a room above Dorchester’s Corn Exchange in High East Street as their Green Room (via Doresetecho).

Many set pictures (via Twitter) also revealed that a few segments of Enola Holmes 2, involving scenes with Henry Cavill and Millie Bobby Brown, were filmed in London's The Royal Oak pub. Earlier in October 2021, Enola Holmes 2 was also rumored (via SurreyLive) to be filming in Hankley Common's drop zone near Elstead, which is a civil parish in Surrey, England. Considering its incredible cast and diverse filming locations, it is not surprising that Enola Holmes 2 is receiving optimistic reviews for bringing new life to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's fictional characters.
