The Game Revival
The Game has had quite an interesting run that has included network changes and cast switch-ups. The show aired on The CW in 2006 and aired for three seasons on the network. It then switched over to BET, where it ran for six more seasons. In 2015, the show seemed to be all wrapped up.
In 2021, however, fans of the show were delighted to learn that The Game would be returning. The show was moving from San Diego to Las Vegas and boasted a new main cast. Fans of the original show did see some familiar faces, including Jason Pitts (Coby Bell), Kelly Pitts (Brittany Daniel) and Derwin Davis (Pooch Hall). The original show creator, Mara Brock Akil, also returned to executive produce.
The revival has been described as “a modern-day examination of Black culture through the prism of pro football. The team will tackle racism, sexism, classism, and more as they fight for fame, fortune, respect, and love — all while trying to maintain their souls as they each play The Game.” The show has delivered just this, and fans ate it up. So much so that the revival was renewed for a second season that premiered in December 2022.

Cast of The Game
The original seasons of The Game starred Hosea Chanchez, Pooch Hall, Wendy Rauqel Robinson, Coby Bell, Brittany Daniels, Laura London, and Tia Mowry. Talk about an all-star cast! The revival seasons brought back Hosea Chanchez as Malik Wright and Wendy Raquel Robinson as Tasha Mack. New faces include Vaughn Hebron, Adriyan Rae, Toby Sandeman, and Analisa Velez.
