Origins of the Show
Star Wars: The Bad Batch is a spin-off of the popular 2008 animated show, Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The show ran for 7 seasons and took place during the three years between the two prequel films, Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. The show originally debuted on Cartoon Network, but the seventh and final season was released on Disney+ in 2020.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars followed the Jedi Knights as they worked to lead the Grand Army of the Republic against the Separatists, a droid army. It featured beloved and well-known characters, Anakin Skywalker (Matt Lanter), Yoda (Tom Kane) and Obi-wan Kenobi (James Arnold Taylor). Each episode begins with an inspirational quote that foreshadows a theme that the episode explores.
Season 2 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch
Season 2 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch takes place months after the events that took place in the first season. The Bad Batch is set to continue their navigation of the Empire post the fall of the republic. The season follows the same format as the first season, with each episode focusing on a mission. It has been teased that there will be exciting character cameos, such as Captain Rex, Emperor Palpatine, the Wookie Jedi, Commander Cody, and Gungi.
The season is set to have 16 episodes, premiering on January 4, 2023 and concluding on March 29, 2023.
