The Chemist is a Stronghold Boss in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 DMZ that serves as the primary means by which players can unlock the new M13B Assault Rifle. Similar to an AI-controlled boss like Glukhar in Escape from Tarkov, the Chemist is a powerful, hostile NPC that will always drop a modded version of the M13B, including other valuable loot for those who manage to take him down. Of course, this feat is easier said than done, as combatants must first locate this Stronghold Boss, defeat any additional adds that might spawn, and contend with other players looking to take the M13B for themselves.

To find the Chemist on the Warzone 2 DMZ map of Al Mazrah, players must open their map after spawning into the match and look for a noticeable yellow circle. This yellow ring will appear randomly in the world and have a purple radiation symbol, indicating that the Chemist and his goons are lurking within the area. Accordingly, players must make their way to this circle after entering Al Mazrah and begin their search for the Chemist.

Radiation Zone of the Chemist Map Location in Warzone 2 DMZ

Unlike the radiation zone in which he patrols, the Chemist in Warzone 2 DMZ does not have an icon by which combatants can pinpoint his exact position. Instead, they must venture into the deadly circle while wary of AI soldiers and other players. However, bear in mind that the noxious gas of the air will not only limit one's vision but will also inflict Warzone survivors with a debuff that drains one's HP and prevents healing from any source. Therefore, players must acquire and equip a Gas Mask before entering the radiation zone to avoid being affected by the toxic fumes. Gas Masks can be looted from other players or the AI guards roaming the vicinity. These masks can also be purchased from Buy Stations around the map for several thousand cash.

Needless to say, the Chemist is hard to miss in Warzone 2 DMZ. While players' vision might be hampered by the toxic air and the Gas Mask, the Stronghold Boss wears a bright yellow hazmat suit that is easy to see and distinguishable from the rest of the desert environment. Conversely, his goons will be wearing navy blue attire with yellow vests. Taking on the Chemist using a decent loadout in Warzone 2 will be challenging but should be relatively easy for a trio or a duo squad. However, solo survivors might struggle dealing with the Chemist, including his minions and other players in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 DMZ. However, YouTuber Silver Mont has discovered a clever strategy to "insta-kill" the Chemist without engaging in combat by running the boss over with a military truck.
