The Castle Murdoch Playset, also referred to as simply Castle Murdoch, is a Landmark in Grounded that serves as the main point of interest in a biome called Moldorc Highlands. As its name implies, Moldorc Highlands is an elevated region found in the upper-right corner of the Yard and borders the Koi Pond and Hedge. The biome is rich with resources, including Pond Moss, Berry bushes, Sour Lumps, and Pop Caps. Nevertheless, the castle is likely the Grounded location that players will want to reach.

Castle Murdoch contains many features that are worthwhile exploring in Grounded. For example, Pop Caps can be found within the mouth of the head-shaped structure, and a SCA.B Scheme can be found in the top room of the castle. Furthermore, the slimy tower of the playset is a guaranteed spawn location for the Moth, a formidable creature that drops pieces to craft the endgame Moth Armor Set. Finally, Castle Murdoch holds the only passage to reach the Mysterious Lab, the last dungeon of the game where players will encounter the final boss of Grounded.

To reach Castle Murdoch in Grounded, players can only rely on their building capabilities. In other words, there is no way to reach this significant Landmark other than by constructing structures leading to it. However, this process is anything but easy, as the swampy area in Grounded is filled with dangerous insects that will make quick work of any unprepared adventurers.

Castle Moldorc Map Location and Crossing a Grass Bridge to Reach the Castle in Grounded

YouTube content creator JADECRAFT has provided gameplay footage presenting how challenging it is to enter Castle Moldorc in Grounded. Before attempting to build a simple Grass bridge across the gap to the castle, there are several threats that players should bear in mind. First, players must have a way to deal with the hostile Tiger Mosquitoes that aggressively patrol the area. These insects are weak to the Fresh element, and they take increased damage from Chopping or Slashing, according to the Grounded Wiki. Players with thick armor and powerful weaponry can attempt to take down these insects in melee combat, but using ranged weapons like the Bow is a much safer option.

Additionally, the murky waters below Castle Moldorc are filled with terrifying Spiny Water Fleas. Accordingly, players must be cautious that their bridge is not destroyed by Grounded's Mosquitoes when crossing. If building a straight bridge that lies directly over the gap is too challenging, players can try constructing sloping Grass structures leading up to the castle from the biome's lower areas. Still, be mindful of the Tiger Mosquitoes always swarming the zone.
