Ever since The Real Housewives Of New York premiered in 2008, fans have been tuning in to see the fabulous lives (and the fabulous arguments) of a group of wealthy women. The 11th season is about to start, which means more juicy drama is coming our way.

Although there are housewives who are staples of the franchise, such as Bethenny Frankel and Ramona Singer, there are also some ladies who appear on one or two seasons and then say goodbye. What has been going on in the lives of the women who are no longer on the reality series? Read on to find out where the former Real Housewives Of New York are now.

 Cindy Barshop

Cindy Barshop was only on RHONY for one season (she appeared in season four) and she didn't make quite as big an impression as the other housewives. She was intended to take Bethenny Frankel's place (but now Bethenny has been back for a few seasons). Cindy was parenting her twins, Zoe and Jesse, on her own and she was running her own business.

These days, Cindy runs her brand Spruce & Bond (which used to be called Completely Bare). She also has a spa called VSpot Medi-Spa. Even though she is long gone from the reality show, there is still chatter about how she didn't get along with Sonja Morgan.

 Kristen Taekman

Kristen Taekman appeared on seasons six and seven of The Real Housewives of New York. She and her husband, Josh, live in a beautiful apartment and have two kids, Cassius and Kingsley. Many of her storylines revolved around her marriage.

These days, Kristen may no longer be on the show, but she's still married and raising her family. They went through a bit of a rough patch when news broke that Josh had an online dating profile (and on a well-known one, at that). She now runs her own fashion blog called Last Nights Look and has a pretty impressive amount of social media followers. Fans who loved her on RHONY can check out her social media accounts and follow along to see what fabulous outfits she's wearing.

Heather Thomson

Heather Thomson got along well with some of the ladies on RHONY, so it was a bit surprising to learn that she was leaving the show after appearing on the fifth, sixth, and seventh seasons.

So what is Heather up to now? Although she's no longer one of the housewives, Heather was in a recent episode when she was with Carole for the New York City Marathon. While Heather was running a business called Yummie Tummie when she was on the show, now she's got a different business. She went back to school to learn about nutrition and has a business called Nutritionary. And she's still married to Jonathan Schindler and is busy raising their two children.

 Aviva Drescher

Aviva Drescher is best known for having a prosthetic leg and for actually throwing it in one episode. Yes, this actually happened. But fans of the reality franchise probably aren't surprised by that since there are a lot of moments as crazy as that in every episode.

Aviva has publicly stated that she would love to be on RHONY again, so perhaps we'll be seeing her on a future season of the dramatic show. In the meantime, she's raising her kids (and step-child), and she and her husband have been dealing with some credit card debt. She has published a book called Leggy Blonde and is also involved with lots of charity work.

 Kelly Killoren Bensimon

Who could forget when Kelly Killoren Bensimon freaked out during one memorable girls' trip? That collection of episodes has been nicknamed "Scary Island" by fans who still can't get over the antics. When she appeared on the show, Kelly didn't get along with Bethenny most of all and even told her once, “I'm up here, you're down here." (Whoa.)

Kelly has made many professional changes since her days as a housewife. She's definitely busy and has a bunch of different projects on the go, including a website where she sells various products. She has written two books A Dangerous Age and The Second Course and even works in real estate now.

 Alex McCord

Alex McCord is another unforgettable former housewife. She and her husband, Simon, went on the most intense shopping sprees that anyone could imagine, literally dropping thousands in one go. They seemed like they would never be done renovating their house and it was often very chaotic and messy.

What is the former housewife up to now? Since 2014, she and her family have lived in Australia, which is definitely a big change from New York City. She also has a psychology degree and is said to be working at a nursing home (which is very different from starring on a reality show, that's for sure).

Jill Zarin

Jill Zarin and Bethenny were the best of friends until they were massive enemies, which seems to be why she left the show. Since then, she has appeared in a few episodes, including most recently after the death of her beloved husband, Bobby. She and Bethenny were seen reconciling and getting over their differences.

Jill is still running her business Zarin Fabrics. In October 2018, news broke that she put her condo on the market. Jill has also said that she's dating again and she was quoted as saying, “New like, we’ll start with new like. It’s time. We started out as friends and, you know, that’s what Bobby wanted for me, he was very adamant about it.”

Carole Radziwill

Although she didn't appear on RHONY as a married housewife, Carole Radzwill made a splash for sure. Her relationship with younger guy Adam was chronicled along with her job as a writer. She has published both fiction and memoir.

Carole left the show after the most recent season, and many fans think that it was because she fell out with former BFF Bethenny. The word on the street (or the Internet) is that Carole is working with a company called Verge, which is a mobile marketing platform. She has also said that she's writing a sequel to her 2005 memoir What Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship, and Love.
