Warning: the following contains SPOILERS for What We Do In The Shadows.

What We Do In The Shadows makes a habit of surprising its viewers with celebrity cameos, and there were several in season 3. What We Do In The Shadows season 3 focuses on the rise of Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Laszlo (Matt Berry), and Colin (Mark Proksch) as the heads of the Vampiric Council for the American Eastern Seaboard. To provide assistance and maintain contact, the Supreme Vampiric Council has sent over the Floating Woman, also known as the Guide (Kristen Schaal), who becomes a recurring character in What We Do In The Shadows season 3.

While this promotion confers the four vampires — and their familiar, Guillermo (Harvey Guillén) — with authority and power, it also comes with a great amount of responsibility and danger. From dealing with local rebellious Gen-Z vampires to recapturing the Sire himself, from which all vampires descend, Nadja, Laszlo, Nandor, and Colin certainly have their hands full in the third season. Moreover, the show also takes this opportunity to reveal more about the weird denizens of its supernatural universe.

Indeed, What We Do In the Shadows season 3 reveals a much more dangerous world for the four vampires. Unlike in previous seasons, many of the dangers they face can’t just be staked and swept under the rug by the vampire slayer Guillermo — and these dangers take their form through the many guest star. In addition to Taika Waititi returning to WWDITS as his character from the original movie, Viago, here's every celebrity cameo in What We Do In The Shadows season 3.

Lauren Collins as Meg the Receptionist

In What We Do In The Shadows season 3, episode 2, the Guide gives the new leaders of the Vampiric Council a tour in the Chamber of Curiosities, where they find the Cloak of Duplication, a magical cape that allows the wearer to fully duplicate the appearance of whoever the cloak has touched beforehand. Laszlo, Colin, and Guillermo all use the cloak to try and fail to impress Nandor’s crush at the gym, Meg the receptionist. While Guillermo speaks with Meg as Nandor, the show explores the deeper aspects of Guillermo and Nandor’s relationship. Meg is played by Canadian actress and writer Lauren Collins, who is a veteran of the Kroll Show and The Strain. Collins is most well-known for her role as Paige Michalchuk on Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Tyler Alvarez as Wes Blankenship

During their first day on the job as Vampiric Council leaders, Nadja, Nandor, and Colin visit a group of vampires who hasn’t been paying their council dues. The group of young vampires is led by Wes Blankenship, who tells Nadja and Nandor that they won’t be paying the dues anymore as they are an independent group. While Nandor strategizes to arrive at an amicable solution, Nadja rips out Wes’ black heart in front of the young vampires, instantly quelling the potential rebellion. Wes is played by Tyler Alvarez, who was in another mockumentary series called American Vandal. Alvarez was also Diego Rueda in Nickelodeon's teen sitcom Every Witch Way.

Aida Turturro as Gail

Gail in What We Do In The Shadows

Nandor hooks up with his on-again-off-again girlfriend in What We Do In The Shadows season 3, episode 3, “Gail.” Later, the rest of the gang finds out that Gail is a werewolf. After Nadja accidentally kills Gail by kicking a ball to her head, Nandor revives Gail with his blood. As a werewolf-turned-vampire, Gail is low key one of the most powerful creatures introduced in the show. Gail is played by Sopranos veteran Aida Turturro.

Catherine Cohen as Sheila the Siren

Laszlo and Colin get on a boat to investigate the origins of energy vampires in What We Do In The Shadows season 3, episode 7, “The Siren." The two are heading to nearby Plum Island when their journey is interrupted by Sheila, a Siren who manages to ensnare Colin’s heart — despite her obnoxious behavior. Sheila the Siren is played by Catherine Cohen, an actor and comedian who has appeared in Awkwafina from Queens, Search Party, Dating & New York, and The Lovebirds.

Scott Bakula as himself

As Nandor and Nadja fumble the task of co-running the Vampiric Council for the American Eastern Seaboard, they contact the human actor Scott Bakula for help, because they mistake the man’s last name as an indicator that he’s a vampire. This happens in the beginning of What We Do In The Shadows season 3, episode 7, “The Siren.” Actor Scott Bakula is famous for his roles as Star Trek: Enterprise’s Captain Jonathan Archer and Quantum Leap’s Sam Beckett.

Cree Summer as Jan

Nandor realizes that he is extremely depressed and finds relief at the Post-Chiropteran Wellness Center. The center turns out to be a cult led by a scam artist named Jan, a vampire who has convinced Nandor and the other members that they can somehow become human again by performing stereotypically human rituals and even pulling out their fangs, only for everyone to regrow fangs again the next day. Famous for playing the role of Winifred Brooks on the NBC sitcom A Different World, actor Cree Summer also voiced Penny in the ‘80s cartoon Inspector Gadget.

Donal Logue as Himself

Distraught by Guillermo rescuing him from Jan’s cult, Nandor decides to take a Super Slumber in What We Do In The Shadows season 3, episode 9, “A Farewell.” Meanwhile, the Supreme Worldwide Vampiric Council sends its members to inspect the local Vampiric Council’s progress. Among them is actor Donal Logue as a vampire version of himself. Logue also paints the portrait in What We Do In The Shadows episode 10, “The Portrait.” As Nadja herself points out, Logue is famous for playing Quinn in 1998’s Blade. He also appears in Sons of Anarchy and Vikings.

Khandi Alexander as Contessa Carmilla De Mornay

Another Supreme Council delegate is the Contessa Carmilla De Mornay. According to the Guide, the Contessa is 1,000 years old. The sultry Contessa De Mornay is played by Khandi Alexander, who’s famous for being in films like There’s Something About Mary and What’s Love Got To Do With It. Alexander was also a choreographer for Whitney Houston.

David Cross as Dominicas the Dreadful

Dominicas the Dreadful is possibly the oldest member of the Supreme Council delegation that visits the vampires in “A Farewell.” Dominicas is so old, it is said that he and another guy started the fire that burned down the Great Library of Alexandria. He, like the other Supreme Council members, may return in What We Do In The Shadows season 4, given Nadja's promotion. Dominicas the Dreadful is played by stand-up comedian, writer, and actor David Cross, who is most well-known for being Tobias Funke in Arrested Development.
