If there's one thing The Kardashians stars love more than being on reality tv, it's going all out for Halloween, and this year was no different. Fans wait on their Instagram pages the minute Halloween weekend begins to see what elaborate costumes they'll pose in, and with a celebrity makeup and costume team, they never disappoint. Kim has dazzled as Cher, Selena, Madonna, and Pamela Anderson over the years, while Kylie's gone as Barbie, Christina Aguilera, and Ariel from The Little Mermaid. Even momager Kris Jenner gets dressed up for the Holiday, one year going as Captain Hook with Kourtney Kardashian as Tinkerbell and another year as Dorothy Gale.
Unfortunately, there have been a few Kardashian costumes that fans weren't fond of and others they found problematic and offensive. In 2003, Khloe Kardashian dressed as a pimp with several women of color on leashes. While Keeping Up With The Kardashians didn't premiere until 2007, and Khloe wasn't a household name at the time, the photos resurfaced years later, and the reality tv star still receives backlash to this day. Kris also received criticism for her 2021 Halloween costume. The Kardashians star dressed as a Dia De Los Muertos skeleton. People of Mexican Heritage observe the Holiday, and many thought the costume was cultural appropriation. For 2022, the Kardashians continued their Halloween fun with some of their best costumes yet.
Kim Kardashian Enters The Marvel Cinematic Universe
Kim turned herself blue for Halloween this year as she dressed as the Marvel character Mystique. The blue anti-hero appears in the X-Men films and has been portrayed by actresses like Rebecca Romijn and Jennifer Lawrence. Kim was joined by her friends Olivia Pierson and Natalie Halcro as fellow Marvel characters Magik and Selene.
Kourtney Kardashian & Travis Barker Team Up Again
Since getting together, Kourtney and Travis have loved doing a couple's costume. Last Halloween, the two went as the lead characters in True Romance and as Edward Scissorhands and Kim Boggs. This year, they tapped into their punk style again and went as Chucky and the creepy doll's wife, Tiffany Valentine. Kourtney and Travis showed up to their family Halloween party in the horrifying costumes.
Khloe Kardashian Showed Off Her Kids' Halloween Costumes
Khloé stayed behind the camera this year but shared her daughter True Thompson and her son, whose name and appearance are a secret, with her Instagram followers. True dressed as Owlette from the children's cartoon PJ Masks, and her younger brother dressed as Tigger. The three were also seen at their family Halloween party with Tristan Thompson.
Kendall Jenner Threw It Back To The 90s
Kendall Jenner tapped into her childhood when she was looking for her Halloween 2022 costume. The 818 Tequila founder posed for a Toy Story-inspired photo shoot dressed as cowgirl Jessie, who debuted in the 1999 film Toy Story 2. Kendall added a much sexier Kardashian twist to the outfit and even traded out the red wig for her natural dark brown hair for a few other photos of her dressed as Jessie.
Kylie Jenner Channeled Many Several Icons For Halloween
As always, Kylie didn't stop at one Halloween costume. The Kylie Cosmetics founder did several photoshoots to show off her looks. First, she dressed as the Bride of Frankenstein from the classic horror film and posed in a dungeon for the terrifying look. Next, she paid homage to the Cassandra Peterson character, Elvira, wearing a long black wig with a beehive style on top and a few of the character's iconic outfits. For Halloween day, Kylie did a third costume, dressed as an Alien slayer in red latex and a blonde wig.
Kim Kardashian's Children Didn't Disappoint
Like their famous mother, Kim's kids love Halloween. Kim shared a photo of her four children dressed as music icons Aaliyah, Sade, Snoop, and Eazy E. North later dressed as the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, from his 1987 Bad album, wearing his actual hat "Smooth Criminal" hat. Like her aunt Kylie, two costumes weren't enough for North, and she also dressed as a scary Alien for her family's Halloween party.
The Kardashians stars didn't disappoint with their Halloween 2022 costumes. As always, their makeup and costume teams did an incredible job transforming the reality stars. Fans seem to particularly like Kylie's costumes, calling her iconic. It'll be interesting to see how the Kardashians top their looks next year.
