A new day brings a new Wordle puzzle, and today's word could cause a few players out there to lose their long-standing streak. It's not that the word is overly difficult by any means, it just isn't a commonly used word and oftentimes it's the words we don't think of on a daily basis that can throw off a game. Today's Wordle also has a common suffix, for example, there are multiple possibilities for five-letter words ending in 'ING' or 'ER' and players can easily get stuck wasting their guesses on wrong answers.
For those players who want a harder challenge than the game has to offer they can always access the options menu before starting a Wordle and turn on Hard Mode. This will lock in clues and force the players to use a bit more critical thinking when making their guesses. If a letter is proven correct in a past guess it must be used in future guesses. The same applies to letters proven incorrect, they are locked out of being chosen in future attempts. This is a great way to lower the number of guesses a player uses since there can be no wasted attempts using an answer they know is wrong.

- Hint 2: This word could be used to describe someone who is entertaining, like a jester.
- Hint 3: Today's Wordle could also be used to explain something curious or unusual in a way that is amusing.
Today's Wordle Hints (June 28th #374)
The June 28th Wordle answer is DROLL.
For our starting Wordle word today we used IRATE, which provided quite a few incorrect letters and one perfectly placed 'R'. We followed up with PROUD, this covered the rest of the standard vowels and gave us the correctly placed 'O' and an incorrectly placed 'D'. Our third guess for the day was DROWN which solidified the correct placement for the 'D' but nothing else. For our fourth guess we attempted DROOL, thinking it might be a repeated letter day, this gave us a correctly placed 'L' and showed that 'O' was not repeating. After a long stare at the screen we finally figured it out. There is a repeated letter, but it's not the 'O' it's the 'L' and we got a win-in-five with DROLL.
