Today’s Wordle answer was not particularly hard to guess if players used strategic starting words. However, if some players are stuck and unable to guess today’s answer, some hints might help them solve the puzzle. Wordle provides a few visual clues to players by changing the box's color that contains a letter being used in today’s answer. However, sometimes these hints aren’t enough to guess the answer in less than six tries or less.
Wordle’s rules are quite straightforward as the game responds to the five-letter word input with two colors. If a box’s color changes to green, it means the letter in that box is being used in today’s Wordle answer and is in the right spot. However, if the box’s color changes to yellow, it means the letter is being used in today’s Wordle answer but is in the wrong spot. If a box’s color remains unchanged, that means that letter is not being used in today’s solution.
Players can share their progress on Wordle on websites like Facebook and Twitter once they have their results. Clicking on the “Share” button will let players copy color-box emojis and the number of attempts that can then be posted on social media websites. These emojis can be understood by other Wordle players familiar with the rules and know today’s Wordle answer. Sharing one’s progress on social media websites has made the game a part of many players’ daily routines.

Some players who do not want to break their streak or want to guess the answer in fewer tries like to get hints that point them in the right direction. While Wordle does offer visual clues, sometimes it still isn't enough to guess every answer. The below hints are similar to clues players may have seen before in crossword puzzles that help Wordle players solve today’s answer:
Hint 1: Calendar period.
Hint 2: Division of a year.
Hint 3: There are 12 ___ in a year.
Wordle 263 Answer (March 9)
If players were unable to guess today’s Wordle answer, the answer is MONTH. When trying to guess today’s answer, the first word we used was “THANE.’ It revealed three letters being used in today’s answer but were not in the right spot. For the second word, we used ‘NORTH,’ which revealed three letters being used in the right spot and one letter in the wrong place. Once we knew three letters were in the correct spot, we could guess today’s Wordle answer MONTH in three tries.
