Warning! SPOILERS for Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 6 ahead.

Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 5 left things unclear for Reva after her goal was uncovered, and Darth Vader revealed who she knew all along – here’s what happens to Reva in episode 6 and how her arc concludes. Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 6 had to tie up some loose ends set up by episode 5, namely Leia (Vivien Lyra Blair) being returned to her family and Vader’s (Hayden Christensen) final confrontation with Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) as the latter couldn’t have let those saved by the Path end up in the Grand Inquisitor’s (Rupert Friend) grasp. Reva’s revenge on Vader could be exacted as she got ahold of Senator Bail Organa’s (Jimmy Smits) message to Obi-Wan in episode 5, learning about Luke’s (Grant Feely) parentage.

Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 6 sees a battered Reva finally arrive on Tatooine, looking for Owen (Joel Edgerton) in a bid to find Luke. After all, Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 5 established Reva as a survivor of Anakin’s younglings slaughter in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, meaning her knowledge of who Vader really made sense. It also revealed what drove her to look for Obi-Wan no matter what, as the traumatizing enacting of Order 66 by Anakin destroyed the only family she knew and couldn’t protect, and that became the fuel that drove her to rise through the Inquisitors’ ranks to have a chance to take revenge on Vader. Knowing Luke was really Anakin’s child could have provided closure, as Reva believed taking her revenge on Luke would have vindicated the other Jedi students Anakin killed in front of her at the Jedi Temple.

Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 6’s ending gives Reva closure, although not in the way she expected or envisioned. By being unable to kill Luke, Reva believes she failed her fellow Jedi students, as she couldn’t avenge them. Yet, her inability to fully go down a dark path that would have made her more similar to Vader than ever before actually gives Reva a clean slate. By showing mercy to Luke, who may be related to Vader but is also an innocent kid, Reva not only differentiates herself from Vader as Obi-Wan tells her, but she can also start moving on. Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 6 gives Reva the chance to start healing and build a different life, one unsullied by revenge or the need for it.

Reva What HAppens to her Inquisitorius Rebels Third Sister

As Reva’s Third Sister never appeared in any other Star Wars product, even those that focused on the Inquisitorius like Star Wars Rebels, many believed Reva would have followed Jedi: Fallen Order’s Second Sister’s fate and perished as she failed her mission of bringing Kenobi to Vader. However, Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 5 had already revealed that Vader knew of Reva’s backstory and, able to anticipate her moves, he never expected loyalty from her. Their duel ending with Vader wounding Reva and the Grand Inquisitor taunting her that they were leaving her “in the gutter where she belonged” showed that they didn’t consider her more than a tool, but their underestimation of Reva proved fundamental for her survival. They didn’t deem Reva dangerous enough to kill, and her need for revenge leads her to show mercy to Luke in episode 6, making her Obi-Wan Kenobi story arc conclude with the chance of a fresh start.

With Obi-Wan Kenobi set in 9 BBY, Reva not appearing as either working with the Inquisitors in 5 BBY or with the Rebellion proves she has the opportunity to choose what her path will be. It’s a choice that could prove to be useful as it wouldn’t eliminate the possibility of further exploring Reva’s character in the future, especially considering how Ingram’s excellent performance was nuanced and emotional and truly brought the character to life. It would also mean that Obi-Wan Kenobi with Reva introduced a character deeply affected by the Empire’s doing, and yet episode 6 didn’t set her future in stone, leaving Reva the chance to be whatever she wants to be, not necessarily with the good or bad guys, but simply free to choose for herself.
