Bravo's The Real Housewives of New York has had 17 housewives on its roster (including in the upcoming 13th season) since the series' start in 2008. Original housewives like Luann de Lesseps and Ramona Singer are still a part of the show but they now have new ladies surrounding them.

Some former housewives lasted multiple seasons and created lifelong bonds with current cast members while other housewives only lasted a season or two. Regardless of their longevity on the show, dedicated Bravo fans still keep tabs on former RHONY members and what they're doing today.

Tinsley Mortimer

Was Tinsley the housewife that got away? Fans loved her dynamic with the ladies, especially the hot and cold relationship with Dorinda. But after almost five full seasons, Tinsley stepped away from RHONY. She was ready for a future with her boyfriend Scott and moved to Chicago.

Shockingly, Tinsley and Scott broke off their engagement. It's been rumored that Tinsley was leaving Chicago and moving back to New York to go back on the show, but Bravo denied any communication relating to that possibility. Time will tell to see what Tinsley's future looks like without Scott.

Jill Zarin

Jill Zarin was an original housewife who made an iconic dent in the series. She was friends with all of the women for years and had a tumultuous relationship with Bethenny Frankel. Her marriage to Bobby was a beloved one for Bravo fans but he sadly passed away in 2018.

These days, Zarin is no longer on RHONY but doesn't seem to be missing reality TV life. She has her own home decor brand (Jill Zarin Home) where she sells everything from couches to rugs. Jill is also in business with her daughter Ally. Shop Jill and Ally sells items like loungewear, candles, and masks.

Carole Radziwill

Carole Radziwill joined the cast in season 5 before leaving at the end of season 10. She became quick friends with most of the ladies and had a level head in most altercations. She became incredibly close with Bethenny but once that relationship came to an end, Carole left the series.

Carole went back to her roots working in journalism and is currently a contributing editor for Violet Grey. According to Distractify, she is also getting back into producing and working on a comedy series.

Heather Thomson

Heather Thomson was a housewife for three seasons before calling it quits. Like Dorinda, she also had a house in the Berkshires, which always made for wild getaways. And while Heather left in season 7, she has come back as a friend and a guest of the show.

In the most recent season coming to screens (season 13), Heather is back as a friend of the series but has reportedly cut her time with the cast short over differences with Leah McSweeney. Other than RHONY, Heather has focused her efforts on her fashion designs and latest business venture, Beyond Fresh.

Alex McCord

Alex McCord was another original housewife who was on the series for four seasons. But after season 4, she left and never returned.

These days, Alex and her family moved from the Big Apple to Australia's Byron Bay. Instead of searching for fashion shows and front row seats, Alex switched gears and became a licensed psychologist. She has kept fans informed on her journey for higher education since reaching Australia. Today, her two young sons, Francois and Johan, are now teenagers!

Aviva Drescher

Aviva Drescher only lasted two seasons on RHONY but wow, did she have some of the most memorable moments on the show. She was inspirational in telling viewers that she never let having a prosthetic leg define her. She's now a motivational speaker, author, and continues to teach about wellness.

These days, Aviva is still chasing around her four kids and in a happy marriage to her husband Reid (remember when Reid went on the girls' trip?). According to The Blast, Aviva isn't opposed to coming back to RHONY as long as she fit in nicely with the group of women.

Kristen Taekman

Kristen Taekman made a controversial move on RHONY by claiming she wasn't the smartest but she was probably the prettiest. As a model and dedicated mother of two, Kristen had her hands full but she sure was a fun housewife. Her ongoing feud with the one and only Ramona Singer also made for wonderful reality television.

These days, Kristen is no longer in New York and is actually on the West Coast in Los Angeles. Fans of Taekman's are hoping to see her on RHOBH or RHOC but that doesn't appear to be in the works. She's currently a fashion blogger and runs her own blog called Last Night's Look.

Dorinda Medley

Season 13 is Dorinda's first season away from RHONY since joining in season 7. Like Tinsley, there was something about Dorinda that fans couldn't get enough of. Her one-liners and incredible comebacks made her one of the most beloved housewives. In more recent seasons, Dorinda appeared to be suffering and needed some time to heal away from the cameras.

Now that she's not filming, Dorinda has put her efforts into a book, Make It Nice. She has also considered making a cookbook based on the meals she's made at the iconic Blue Stone Manor.

Jules Wainstein

Jules Wainstein is one of the rare housewives who only lasted one season. It was rumored that she and her husband were having relationship issues off-camera and sadly, it all came to fruition when she was arrested for getting into an altercation with her husband.

In 2019, Jules did an interview with Bravo stating that she was now living in Florida with her mom but would move back to New York at a later time. Jules is also the co-host of a pop-culture podcast called Josh's Family Jules Podcast and created her own clearing tonic drink called Modern Alkeme.

Kelly Bensimon

One of the images that live rent-free in most RHONY fans' heads is that of Kelly Bensimon jogging in the middle of New York City's bustling streets with her hair down. It's one of the most iconic moments in RHONY history because of the sheer oddness of it all.

Kelly's stint on the show lasted for three seasons before joining the show as a guest, but it was her time on Scary Island that fans remember best. Outside of The Real Housewives, Kelly has gotten into real estate — according to her Instagram bio — and appears to split her time between NYC, the Hamptons, and Florida.
