What We Do in the Shadows TV show is almost out, so what can viewers expect from the adaptation? The New Zealand horror comedy film, What We Do in the Shadows, has become a cult classic since its 2014 release. The mockumentary movie was created by Taika Waititi, best known as the director of Thor: Ragnarok. Waititi also starred as one of the four vampire roommates in the film version of What We Do in the Shadows.

What We Do in the Shadows centered on four vampires - Viago, Vladislav, Deacon, and Petyr - as they're followed by a documentary crew. The centuries-old vampires live together in a flat but haven't adapted to life as 21st-century humans. They spend their nights hunting for their next kill but they're stuck inside all day due to the dangerous sunlight. They do have a human servant that helps them run errands as they have other issues to worry about, including the threat of hunters and other supernatural beings.

This time around, the group has lived together for hundreds of years in Staten Island. Nandor The Relentless (Kayvan Novak) serves as the leader of the vampire roommates. The rest of the fanged-foursome includes Laszlo (Matt Berry), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), and day-walker Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch). Nandor also has a familiar, Guillermo (Harvey Guillén), who serves as the protector of the vampires during the day. The What We Do in the Shadows cast also includes Mark Proksch, Doug Jones, Beanie Feldstein, Jake McDorman, and Hayden Szeto.

After spending most of their days in peace, the vampires are unexpectedly visited by the dark lord Baron Afanas, who reminds them of their mission of total world domination. This throws a wrench in their current lifestyle as they're now tasked with how to fulfill their leader's request. The camera crew is never far behind to document the wild antics of this blood-thirsty group.
