FX unveils a new poster for What We Do in the Shadows season 3 spoofing the 1992 romantic thriller The Bodyguard with Nandor and Guillermo. The mockumentary horror comedy title first found life in 2014 as a film of the same name co-written and co-directed by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi about a group of vampires living together in a flat in Wellington, New Zealand. Clement and Waititi also starred in the film alongside Jonathan Brugh, Ben Fransham, Cori Gonzalez-Macuer, Stu Rutherford and Jackie Van Beek.

The series adaptation of What We Do in the Shadows, created by Clement, once again revolves around three traditional vampires living together with one of their familiars in Staten Island and their misadventures with the modern world and other supernatural beings. The show isn't a remake of the film, but rather a pseudo sequel with Clement, Brugh and Waititi's characters making cameo appearances in seasons 1 and 3. Premiering in 2019, What We Do in the Shadows has received critical acclaim across each season for its expansion on the franchise's lore, smart writing and the chemistry of its central cast.

Season 3 of What We Do in the Shadows has arguably been the best yet for the series, namely in its growth of Guillermo from eager familiar to a driven vampire killer and bodyguard for his group. The new spoof poster certainly ties in well to the promotion granted to him by the vampires, but it also nicely fits with his growing connection to Nandor past that of a familiar. The series has toyed with his feelings being deeper and this season certainly seems to be setting up the possibility of having Guillermo reveal his love for Nandor properly.

Whichever direction the relationship may go, the new poster for What We Do in the Shadows is sure to come as a funny treat for fans of the series to start the week, as well as an interesting teaser for those who have yet to start the latest chapter of the series. It also marks the latest hilarious spoof to come from season 3 following episode 3's recreation of one of the stranger scenes from the Twilight film adaptation. Only time will tell what hilarity comes next from the series when What We Do in the Shadows returns on Thursday.
