The poster for Westworld season 2 has been released, and things aren't looking good for the humans of the series. HBO's Westworld has slowly come to rival Game of Thrones as the latest densely-mythical and must-see show from the network. There's only one month until the series returns, and we've been getting regular teases about the show's new status quo. While the concept of 'The Maze' dominated season 1, Westworld season 2 is called 'The Door' by its showrunners. And considering the uprising the hosts led in the season 1 finale, the promise of an exit from the park in season 2 isn't good news.

With the hosts now sentient, Westworld season 2 will go beyond the park. We've yet to see the real world outside of the Delos facility that oversees the Westworld park, but that's set to change this year. Both flashbacks and glimpses of other parks will provide more information on the world of the show, and it's expected that the present day calamity of the hosts revolting will spill into the outside. The first season 2 poster further offers a taste of the carnage to come.

HBO's viral site for the show, Discover Westworld, has a new AI chatbot that is designed to help users navigate the park. In reality, it helps unlock a new poster for the show when the tagline "Chaos takes control" is entered. If that weren't ominous enough, the image of a robotic vulture perched near a bloody black hat certainly hints at what viewers can expect this year. You can take a look at said poster, below:

The hat in this poster looks like the one that belongs to the Man in Black (aka. the man formerly known as William), whose backstory will be explored in greater depth in season 2. Westworld season 2 will also feature a young Robert Ford, as well as additional glimpses at William and Logan during the early days of Delos. Those flashback may further reveal how the park was built, as well as what exactly shaped the main villain of the TV series.

Of course, anyone can enter Westworld as a 'black hat', meaning that they play the game as an evil character. This along with the vulture and blood could simply mean that those humans will be the first to suffer at the hands of the hosts. Either way, the poster and tagline indicate that the chaos teased in the season 1 finale will play out this year, as we see what the park is like with the hosts now in control. And though the Man in Black always wanted a real challenge from the robots, he may wind up regretting that wish.
