Wes Anderson's next film is expected to have the wildest cast, according to actor Fisher Stevens. Anderson is coming off his recent premiere, The French Dispatch, which stars a plethora of actors, one of his many trademarks, including frequent collaborators Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, and Adrien Brody. All three actors are confirmed to join his next movie, titled Asteroid City, alongside Jason Schwartzman, Jeffrey Wright, and Jeff Goldblum, and newcomers working with the director, like Tom Hanks and Margot Robbie.

Stevens has now stated in an interview with Vulture that the cast of Asteroid City is the "the wildest cast" and compared it to David Lean's 1957 war epic, The Bridge on the River Kwai, which starred Alec Guinness, William Holden, Jack Hawkins, and Sessue Hayakawa, and is considered one of the greatest films of all time. This will be Stevens' fourth collaboration with Anderson, starting from The Grand Budapest Hotel. His teasing quote can be viewed below:

"I can tell you it’s probably the best, the wildest cast since The Bridge on the River Kwai. Most of the actors in this film have been in theater except for the kids. We were all bubbled together in a hotel, which was an old monastery. I think it’s going to be quite an extravaganza."

Anderson is known for his large ensembles in all of his films, so the number of actors already announced for his next movie, including Bryan Cranston and Scarlett Johansson, certainly fits his narrative and eccentric style. The caliber of talent already assembled speaks to his distinctiveness and individuality as a filmmaker, and it will be exciting to see this cast come together in the story. Just like his previous movies, Anderson will write, direct, and produce Asteroid City, and the highly anticipated film is set to shoot in Spain.
