Wendy Williams, star of The Wendy Williams Show, was eager to discuss her dating requirements after receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week. Williams was in Los Angeles being honored for her more than two decades' career as a professional broadcaster but she's still on the lookout for Mr. Right.
Despite her current dating status, Williams has been quite vocal about her frustrations with ex Kevin Hunter. On the May 9th taping of her eponymous show, Williams took several thinly-veiled digs at her estranged husband and his alleged side chick, Sharina Hudson. The comments were made during a gossip segment about Ayesha Curry's concerns over NBA superstar husband Steph Curry's groupies. She not only took a stab at her ex's side chick but all women who date other women's men.
The New York-based media personality has men on the brain now that she's single. After Williams received the 2,677th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier this month, she accepted the honor with a tearful speech. Williams has had a 30-year-plus career as a radio emcee, then her own radio talk show with New York's WBLS, and then finally her own television daytime talk show. Now that she's received the honor of being inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame and receiving her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, she's at the height of her career. However, she's still missing one thing - a man to share it with.
She told TMZ her requirements for dating her, saying her new man must have "good conversation" and "a heavy credit card." It was widely reported in June 2019 that the talk show host was dating 27-year-old Marc Tomblin. Wendy followed-up that fling by nabbing herself a 50-something-year-old doctor, although she has never publicly mentioned his name. It is unclear if the two are still an item, though. Williams' last mention of him was on her October 4th broadcast, when she reportedly introduced him to her staff.
Since her divorce proceedings against Hunter, he has not publicly commented on the full details of the affair. However, Williams continues to control the narrative about the split, and the rebuilding of her life as a host on The Wendy Williams Show and as a single woman looking for love.
