Season 3 only just ended, but TLC viewers are ready for Welcome to Plathville season 4. The show follows around the Plath family led by parents Kim and Barry, who have kept their children largely unaware of the modern world. As in any large family, there has been plenty of turmoil that's caused the show to become quite popular.
Season 3 depicted the struggles the Plath family was trying to navigate. Ethan and Olivia Plath made sure to set boundaries with his parents, even though at times it did not feel like Kim and Barry abided by them. Moriah dyed her hair a furious shade of purple, and Lydia still found solace in her prayer closet. As for Kim and Barry, they tried their best to continue on as usual, even though there were some major strains on their relationships with the older children. The season finale showed Micah, Moriah, Olivia, and Ethan moving to Tampa to get more out of their lives and truly leave their parents' rules behind.
The bad news for viewers is that there is currently no set release date for Welcome to Plathville season 4. The good news is there more than likely will be one in the near future. As viewers may remember, Welcome to Plathville season 3 released in October of 2021, so there could be a chance that TLC wants to stick with the same timeline and format. It's not surprising a season 4 announcement hasn't been made yet, as the network likely wanted to wait for the most recent season to finish airing.
One major plotline for season 4 could center around Micah moving to California to pursue his up-and-coming modeling career. Viewers have been keeping up on his shoots thanks to Instagram, and he seems to be making good progress there. Another natural storyline could involve Moriah's breakup with her boyfriend, Max. The two confirmed their split earlier this month after sparking rumors since October. Max has already shared that he will not be appearing in the new season, hinting that the Plaths have already started filming.
Viewers would also be interested in seeing what Lydia's been up to, especially since she has been spotted out and about making friends outside of her family circle. She also seems to be getting a bit of a rebellious spirit just like her older siblings. Needless to say, there is plenty of material available for Welcome to Plathville season 4 when the network makes the inevitable announcement.
