According to what is seen on the preview for Welcome to Plathville season 3, the spotlight does not seem to have gotten to the Plath kids, as they seem just as down-to-earth and goofy as they were in the first two seasons. The trailer's opening scene finds Moriah promptly falling after attempting to roller skate. Alas, she immediately laughs it off. Micah is seen playfully chasing Ethan into the woods, where Ethan says he has the speed of a wildcat. Micah also seems to be in hot water with his modeling agent, as he is told in the trailer that he needs to be a better communicator and take his work more seriously.
Welcome to Plathville will also explore the progression of Moriah's relationship with her boyfriend Max. The pair say that they love each other in the trailer, and Max even looks at rings. However, Kim and Barry don't seem entirely accepting of the pair's touchy affection towards each other, which will likely strain their relationship with Moriah even further. On the farm, Lydia explains how she feels like a liaison between her parents and her siblings who have left the house. Many fans will be shocked to see that Kim seeming mistrusts the always-obedient Lydia. She even goes snooping through her messages with a boy and counts how many messages they've sent to each other.
The Plath parents seem to be back to their overstepping ways in season 3. Olivia was asked to join Moriah and Micah's band, and she agreed on the condition that she would not have to see her mother-in-law, Kim. It seemed that Kim disobeyed their wishes and showed up to their show uninvited with a few of her kids in the car, which will likely stir up more drama. Ethan can even be heard calling his mom a sneaky lady and tearfully saying he is "so done with all of this."
