Kumail Nanjiani stars in the teaser for the upcoming Welcome to Chippendales. Set between the late 1970s and early 1980s, the upcoming Hulu examines the saga of the titular male strip club and its chaotic rise and fall. What began initially, as a small enterprise grew into a big business and then went dramatically went south, deteriorating into deceit, money woes, and murder.

Nanjiani, who recently starred in Eternals and Obi-Wan Kenobi, is at the center of it as Somen “Steve” Banerjee. Having immigrated from India to California in hopes of a better life, Somen believes that he's found his golden ticket by turning a sleazy bar into a viable business. But, as the teaser trailer for Welcome to Chippendales hints, that might have worked if he hadn't plotted to murder all his associates. You can check the teaser, from Hulu, below.

Set to make its Hulu debut on November 11 with two episodes, Welcome to Chippendales co-stars Murray Bartlett, Juliette Lewis, and Annaleigh Ashford. The drama also boasts a number of guests, including Quentin Plair, Robin de Jesús, Andrew Rannells, Nicola Peltz Beckham, and Dan Stevens. The series is created by Emmy nominee Robert Siegel, who created Pam & Tommy earlier this year. He'll also serve as showrunner alongside Jenni Konner. The episodes are directed by Matt Shakman, who directed all of WandaVision, and who will helm the upcoming Fantastic Four movie for Marvel.

Given the talent assembled both in front of and behind the camera, it's safe to say that Welcome to Chippendales will continue Hulu's streak of buzzy limited series. Some like The Dropout received widespread acclaim. Others, like Pam & Tommy, were notable for how well the actors looked like their real counterparts. But they all got TV fans talking.
