The TLC network has announced that Welcome to Plathville Season 3 will air in August and we're here to share details about the upcoming season. Fans believe this is the perfect summer show and wonder what they can expect from the newest installment. Season 2 ended with a lot of tension, and many wonder if the older kids have branched out even farther from their traditional core values.

While Kim and Barry Plath lived very normal, mainstream lives, they decided to raise their children with Duggar-style Christian values that included no sugar, no TV, and basically no fun. Over the past two seasons, the older children Ethan Plath, Moriah Plath, and Micah Plath have decided they wanted to explore more of the world. Moriah has always shared that she felt like the family's black sheep, and Micah has put his abs to work by taking up modeling. Ethan and his wife Olivia have been the thorns in Barry and Kim's sides. The parents feel that Olivia tainted Ethan's thinking. In reality, she just gave him new experiences. TLC viewers thought that Ethan getting a matching tattoo with Olivia was going to be the highlight of the season, but instead, it turned out to be the fight between the eldest Plath and Barry.

With so much family dysfunction, fans are wondering what they can expect from the newest season. According to TLC, there are still three very separate households. Barry, Kim, and the younger children are in one, Moriah and Micah are in another, and Olivia and Ethan are finally moving away from Cairo. The three older Plath children are very much on their own journeys. They want to discover the world outside of their small Georgia town. Moriah is currently dating Max Kallschmidt, with fans hoping for an engagement in the near future.

Welcome to Plathville fans will likely see some older siblings try to make up with their parents. Many believe Moriah and Micah will do this. During the season finale, they went over to their family home. in order to be honest with their parents. Olivia seemed to be hurt the most thanks to her in-laws' judgment and made it clear she did not want to be living in the same town as Kim and Barry. It looks like the married couple will make good on their promise to leave everyone and everything behind. TLC viewers are worried the family may never recover.

TLC also added a new digital series, Plathville: Steamy Nights in Cairo, which will be premiering on Discovery+. The premise for the tiny spin-off is to give fans a way to follow the couples and singles of Welcome to Plathville. The cast will discuss their favorite romantic music, treasures, and even how they get ready for date nights. Fans can tune in for the new season in August to see exactly what is going on between the Plaths.
