While Lydia and Isaac are the most obedient Plath kids, many fans think they are actually resentful of their parents for breaking up the family. Lydia and Isaac are both made to be mediators between the older siblings and their parents. Though Isaac seems grateful to Kim and Barry for supporting his dream of becoming a pilot, Lydia does not have that same luxury. Oldest child Ethan Plath is the most outward in his disdain towards his parents, as they were a major part in his marital problems. Ethan dubbed his mom a sneaky lady, saying she manipulates her kids so she can always get things her way. His parents also made it so he could not see his younger siblings for several months.
