Olivia Plath from Welcome to Plathville is showing signs that she may be back with Ethan after subtly updating fans of their status. The couple has been going through some rough patches in season 3, leaving viewers worried about their marriage. The young couple is not communicating with each other, which has caused Olivia to take some time away from Ethan.
In the most recent episode, Olivia broke the devastating news to her husband that she needed space away from him. Ethan and Olivia have fought what feels like a never-ending battle to sustain their love. Their troubles seemed to have started when Kim and Barry Plath decided they disapproved of their daughter-in-law's adventurous ways. While Olivia didn't conduct her life as strictly as the Plath's viewers felt, she was still a trustworthy role model for the little ones. The Plath children were brought up within a lifestyle that did not allow sugar, public school, or outside friends. Since Welcome to Plathville season 1, Olivia has been fighting her demons and dealing with her mother-in-law.
The photographer just dropped a few bread crumbs on her Instagram, hopefully giving a positive update to fans. Olivia shared a photo of her husband, Ethan, drinking a beer at the airport. On a cocktail napkin, she wrote, "celebrating 3 years with a quick jaunt out of the U.S." Olivia also noted that she and her husband would not have cellphone service for the next few days, but she would fill fans in on their return back to the mainland. Ethan looked to be all smiles as he sipped his Queen Street draft beer waiting for the couple's flight. Olivia also wrote "Hi cutie" next to his face. Welcome to Plathville viewers feel the pair is on the right track to mend their relationship.
Even though fans have no idea where Olivia and Ethan are headed on their anniversary trip, they hope it is for brighter days. Last Welcome to Plathville viewers saw on the show was Olivia telling producers, "I want to take some space because I think until he figures out what he wants, I'm not really able to have a relationship with him." The couple has started to go to couples therapy, admitting that they have been in a rut after the third season. They still are not speaking with Kim and Barry. Ethan has looked into selling their Cairo house and getting out of town as soon as possible in hopes of healing his relationship.
While Olivia and Ethan are not out of the woods yet when it comes to their shaky relationship, fans are hopeful that the two Welcome to Plathville stars will keep fighting for their love. The third season shows new beginnings for the rest of the family. Moriah Plath is moving forward within her relationship with her mother. The two have come to an understanding as they seem to be getting along well. Fans are hopeful one day, Ethan can also reconcile with his parents.
