Moriah Plath is choosing sister-in-law and Welcome to Plathville co-star Olivia Plath to attend her concert over her parents. Moriah has been one of the more rebellious ones out of her siblings, choosing to stray away from Kim and Barry Plath's strict conservative rules. Moriah and her brother Micah even moved out of their parents' home recently, and are having a good time celebrating their newfound freedom. While Moriah went against her family's values by getting a tattoo and dyeing her hair, Micah began a modeling career and posed shirtless on social media, something Kim and Barry wouldn't approve of.

Olivia, who's married to oldest Plath sibling Ethan, has had her fair share of ups and down with her in-laws. Since Olivia introduced Ethan to a world outside of the family farm, Kim and Barry have seen her as a bad influence. This eventually led to a blowout fight between Ethan and his parents, who decided he wasn't allowed to see his younger siblings without their permission. Olivia and Ethan are now estranged from Kim and Barry, who some fans see as manipulative. Olivia, Ethan, and Moriah taking a step back from Kim and Barry is probably the right move for all of them.

A clip of an upcoming episode of the TLC show has Moriah caught in the middle. While she wants Olivia to play in her band with her at her first concert, Olivia has boundaries and doesn't want to go if Kim and Barry will be there. "My boundary for Moriah's gig is that I would love to play with her, but I'm not ready to do that if I have to see her parents there," Olivia said in a confessional (via People). She also admitted that boundaries can get messy "when it comes to family." This is understandable considering the ongoing feud between Olivia and Ethan's parents. Olivia made it clear she didn't want to put Moriah in the middle of anything, but also didn't want to see her in-laws there. Moriah ended up choosing to have Olivia there, saying there will be other opportunities for her parents to attend. "My parents will just have to understand, 'cause I can't just go around being scared of what everybody else is going to feel like or be offended or hurt or whatever," Moriah said.

While Moriah would have her whole family there if she could, she believes having Olivia there will be better for the concert in the long run. Because Olivia is very organized, she can help pull the concert off without a hitch. "I just feel like it'll be better," Moriah said. "Especially for a first concert, I kind of need that." Even with only part of the Plath family there, fans will be excited to see Moriah's first concert as she breaks away from her parents' restraints more and more. Olivia went on to say that she's happy to be a part of the concert, as long as Moriah doesn't feel "obligated" to have her there over Kim and Barry.

It can be hard for fans of Welcome to Plathville to watch Kim and Barry try to control their adult children when they try to break free, but it's nice to see Moriah and Olivia bonding. While there's sure to be a lot of drama headed fans way during season 3, hopefully, there will be more moments of assertiveness as well. Moriah and Olivia are both talented people that deserve to share their art with the world regardless of what Kim and Barry's beliefs are.
