Micah Plath has gotten into hot water with Welcome to Plathville fans after his latest Instagram typo. His over 400K followers were quick to point out his mistake and he edited his caption after posting it, but the damage was already done. The 21-year-old has changed a lot since moving from rural Georgia to Los Angeles to pursue his modeling, but his spelling still needs some work. Micah has continued to amass fans over the years on Instagram with his many shirtless modeling photos, but he made a rare misstep with his latest post.
Micah posted a series of five pictures chronicling his time traveling around Colombia. He captioned the photos, "what a time I had in Columbia!! So much to see and do and so little time to do it, I will be back for sure." He had mistakenly typed "Columbia" instead of "Colombia" and Welcome to Plathville fans were not happy about it. Micah had been averaging about 200 comments on his posts, but it jumped to over 360 comments, mostly with people who mention his flub.
Plathville Fans Correct Micah Plath on Instagram
It ranged from fans trying to be helpful in correcting Micah to those who were upset by the mistake and shared their thoughts in his comment section. One person said "Oof you just made a lot of ColOmbians angry," while others were frustrated that everyone was pointing his error out. Another follower hilariously added, "Omg stop reading him for the spelling he was homeschooled." Micah and his siblings were all taught by their mom Kim Plath, and many fans think her teachings failed them.
From Moriah Plath not technically graduating from the high school level to Ethan Plath confronting his mom about her not giving him a proper education, the Plath kids have had to learn a lot about the outside world in just a few years. At the start of Welcome to Plathville, the Plath kids could not even name one famous athlete or pop culture celebrity, so they have come a long way. They have since left their hometown and traveled all across the U.S. Micah, Ethan, and Moriah also shocked fans by going on a sibling vacation to Jamaica, where they got to experience a brand-new culture.
Micah has angered some Plathville fans in the past with his Instagram posts. Fans felt like he was showing off and trying too hard on IG when he rented a Lamborghini after his brother Isaac Plath visited him in LA. Fans do love seeing him show off his muscles on his Instagram, and seeing how close he still is to his family despite living across the country from them. Fans are excited to see more of his travels, including the one to Colombia, on the next season of Welcome to Plathville.
