Welcome to Plathville star Kim Plath is opening up about her feelings on her daughter, Moriah Plath's, boyfriend. The parents don't allow their children access to modern technology, pop culture, or sugary foods. They also homeschool all of their kids, inhibiting them from making friends, and have a strict dress code that prohibits tank tops and swimsuits. Raising their kids on an isolated rural family farm has led to rebellion from some of their children, especially Moriah.

Moriah strayed from her family's morals by doing things her parents wouldn't approve of. She's gone against her parents' dress code by wearing more revealing clothes, dyed her hair and even got a tattoo. She also left her parents' farm and moved out with her brother, Micah Plath. Moriah began dating her boyfriend, Max Kallschmidt, before her parents wanted her to date, but they seemed to have come around to their daughter's relationship.

Kim recently revealed how she feels about Moriah and Max's relationship. Moriah is seen feeding Max a biscuit and kissing him at a family dinner in a sneak peek of the new season. "When I see Max and Moriah together, they’re always, like, right on each other, hugging and kissing and, you know, it’s pretty clear they really like each other," Kim said in an exclusive clip from Us Weekly. "Moriah’s not under our household anymore, so she’s doing her own thing. We both really like Max and they seem to be really good for each other, so we’re happy for them,” she said. Even though Moriah and Max didn't meet the way Kim and Barry normally approve of, it seems like they're supportive of their relationship. Kim talked about how she and Barry usually get to know families that have children the same age as theirs and see if there's any interest between them.

Moriah also spoke about how she handles her relationship while with her family. "Max and I will go visit my family and it’s not like we change,” Moriah said. “It’s more just like, ‘You know what? We love each other and we’re not ashamed of that, and if somebody thinks it’s wrong they don’t have to look.’ And I think it’s also setting a good example for my siblings. Just, like, do what you want.” If anything, Moriah definitely sets a good example of free will when it comes to taking a stand against her family's strict household.

Kim and Barry are known to have strict morals, and this can easily cause some tension between themselves and their children, especially if their kids want to see more of the real world. However, it's nice to see them support Moriah as she comes into her own outside of the family farm. Hopefully, fans of Welcome to Plathville will get to see more of this type of relationship between Kim, Barry and their children in the upcoming season.
