Since the beginning of Welcome to Plathville, Moriah Plath has debuted many different looks, and fans can't resist commenting on the changes when she posts Instagram pictures of herself. Though many viewers have voiced their support for all of Moriah's different looks, some more traditional viewers of the series have not exactly approved of her edgier style. Whether it is celebrating Moriah's looks or shaming her for them, there is no denying that Welcome to Plathville fans like talking about her appearance.
Moriah and her eight siblings all have naturally blonde hair. Moriah is known as the rebellious child in the family and she has always broken the rules that her strict parents set for their kids, including dying her pale tresses brighter colors. When her parents said the Plath kids should all avoid makeup and wear conservative clothes, Moriah started wearing heavier makeup and more revealing clothing. In Welcome to Plathville season two, Moriah and her brother Micah moved out on their own, and Moriah celebrated her freedom by dressing how she wanted to. Though her family has had a lot to say about her ever-changing looks, fans have been even more vocal about it.
Moriah has had her hair neon purple, pink, and half-black over the past couple of years. She also started wearing brighter lipstick colors and expressing her darker energy with a new wardrobe. With every change she has made, Plathville fans have openly shared their opinion of it on her Instagram. When Moriah dyed her hair bright pink, one fan was inspired to share her own hair color. However, other fans weren't as complimentary. Some people chastised her for making bad decisions about her looks.
In every picture that Moriah posts, especially when she is showing off a new look, fans have a lot to say. Some comments mirror arguments that Moriah had with her now possibly ex-boyfriend, Max Kallschmidt, as he voiced that he wished she would wear less revealing clothes. Since escaping her strict upbringing, she has been adamant about expressing herself through her looks, and doesn't want to be told what she should wear. Her sister-in-law Olivia Plath was sure to support Moriah after she received a lot of hateful comments. Olivia made it clear that she thinks Moriah's haters are rude and judgmental.
Moriah posted a throwback to her trip to Hawaii when she had a more natural look. One fan complimented her, saying, "you're a beautiful girl no matter what, but I'm loving the blonde hair on you!" Another fan gave more input on how they think Moriah should look, commenting. "I'm sorry but your purple hair looks awful." While all of the cast of Welcome to Plathville get some positive comments and some shade, Moriah's look seems to draw the most attention. Moriah still seems to be living her best life. regardless of the negative comments on her look, as she is releasing her first single and spending time with her family.
