Welcome to Plathville's favorite married couple Ethan and Olivia Plath are finally speaking out about the family and the rumors surrounding them. Kim and Barry Plath have given their children a very unique upbringing, to say the least. From their strict Christian morals, which did not allow them to wear baiting suits to the mother's own no sugar rules, the children have been sheltered from the world. Kim also homeschooled the entire family, never readying them for the adult world.

Recently fans watched the TLC star tell his wife that he and his sibling never got a formal education. When trying to talk about the Fourth of July, none of the older children knew who signed the Declaration of Independence or why it was signed. Sadly, none of them knew enough to pass the GED test. TLC viewers have also been extremely worried about the state of Olivia and Ethan's relationship since it looked like they were on the brink of ending during the end of last season.

Luckily, the couple took the time to work on their relationship and cut the Plath's out completely so they would not have any negativity. Fans were also surprised to learn that, according to Soap Dirt, neither Kim nor Barry helped out their older children financially. When they all lived at home, it was the sibling's responsibility to pay for their car insurance, clothes, and even letter to the post office.

The revelations continued as Ethan opened up about never being taken to the hospital since his mother was a natural healer. Evidently, there was an incident where one of the sisters ate berries that caused her to become ill and have her hair fall out. But it took months of rest to recuperate the child. It was finally Olivia's turn to speak, and she dropped a bomb, saying that Kim never seemed to act loving or loving towards the kids.

Fans of the show know that Oliva has been blamed for taking Ethan away from his family, but she did bring him newfound independence. The couple spoke out on the show about how they were forced to marry young since neither family allowed them to court properly and all they wanted to do was spend time together. All the couple could do was write letters to each other and speak once a month on the phone. Currently, fans are watching the duo plan to move out of Cairo, where the rest of the family live, to start a real-life of their own.
