WARNING! This article contains SPOILERS for Wednesday season 1!Wednesday’s season 1 ending reveals that Wednesday Addams has a mysterious stalker, which sets up a significant villain for season 2. As Wednesday leaves Nevermore Academy for break, she receives text messages from an unknown contact on her brand-new cell phone. The threatening texts include pictures of Wednesday having coffee with Tyler for her birthday and Xavier giving her the cell phone only moments before. Following a text that says “I’m watching you” and a GIF of a knife stabbing Wednesday, the Tim Burton Addams Family show’s title character acknowledges that she has her “very first stalker.”

Wednesday doesn’t reveal any details regarding the identity of the stalker, but the circumstances behind the unknown figure’s texts mean a few characters can be omitted from suspicion. Since Tyler was chained up by authorities while Wednesday received the texts, it’s safe to say he’s not her stalker. Additionally, Xavier is in one of the photographs, indicating it can’t be him. Since the photo of Xavier and Wednesday was taken inside Nevermore Academy, the stalker is likely an outcast parent, teacher, or student. However, the stalker could still be a normie who came to Nevermore while students were leaving school. Here are all the possibilities for the stalker in Wednesday season 2.

Sheriff Galpin

Wednesday Jamie McShane as Sheriff Donovan Galpin and Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams

While Sheriff Galpin could leave town after Tyler was revealed to be the murderous Hyde monster, he’ll likely remain in Jericho to keep an eye on the outcasts. Galpin might blame 16-year-old Wednesday Addams for many of the tragedies that took place during Wednesday season 1, which would explain why he would be threatening and “watching” her after Tyler’s arrest. While Sheriff Galpin was last seen in Wednesday’s season 1 finale taking the human Tyler out of the woods and likely having him apprehended, Galpin could still be threatening Wednesday to keep her quiet about her discoveries regarding Jericho and Tyler’s mother.

Wednesday and Sheriff Galpin’s enmity makes him a likely suspect, but there is still a lot of room for doubt that he’s the stalker. Galpin wasn’t in the coffee shop at the time that the picture of Wednesday and Tyler was taken, as he walked in moments later. It also isn’t clear why he would be at Nevermore Academy while the students are moving out. However, Sheriff Galpin could have an accomplice in Wednesday season 2, as he does have personal reasons to want revenge on Jenna Ortega's Wednesday and the outcasts.

Lucas Walker

Wednesday Season 1 Lucas Walker

Despite Lucas becoming friendly with Bianca Barclay, who was once Wednesday’s enemy at Nevermore Academy, he seems to no longer have any vendettas against Nevermore. After getting in trouble for spraying red paint all over the outcasts at Wednesday season 1’s Rave’N dance, he appeared to turn a new leaf and want to make amends between the normies and outcasts. In fact, Lucas Walker was the one who helped Wednesday realize that Laurel Gates was still alive and in Jericho, as it turned out that Laurel was responsible for the murder of Lucas’s dad. Lucas may have been helpful by Wednesday’s season 1 ending, but that doesn’t mean he’s forgiven Wednesday Addams.

Lucas and Wednesday were often at odds throughout Wednesday season 1, with Netflix's Addams Family character even beating him up twice. Lucas may still blame Wednesday for ruining Crackstone’s statue, disrespecting the town’s pilgrim obsession, and playing a small role in Mayor Walker’s murder due to the Addamses’ feud with the Gates family. If so, Lucas could be seeking revenge against Wednesday by stalking and threatening her so that she’ll stop messing with Jericho. Lucas could have been at the Weathervane while Wednesday and Tyler had coffee and also possibly at Nevermore to help Bianca move out, so he’s still a suspect for the stalker in Wednesday season 2.

Vincent Thorpe

Percy Hynes White as Xavier Thorpe in Wednesday

While he never appears in Wednesday season 1, the Tim Burton horror-comedy show often references Xavier’s famous father Vincent Thorpe. Wednesday indicates that the celebrity psychic is a poor father to Xavier, as he fails to attend parents’ weekend and only sends Xavier to therapy to avoid a PR problem. It’s hinted that something more nefarious lies in Vincent’s notoriety and its effect on Xavier’s darkness, which could end up tying into Wednesday season 1’s murder mystery. Xavier has an odd psychic connection to Tyler’s Hyde monster, which could also potentially be traced back to something Vincent did as a student at Nevermore Academy. If so, Vincent might be threatening Wednesday to stop investigating the school’s past.

Since Xavier likely wouldn’t have bought Wednesday a cell phone without his father knowing, Vincent could be one of the few people to actually have Wednesday’s phone number. Additionally, since Vincent had to keep a close eye on Xavier to avoid exposure in the tabloids, he likely knows about Xavier’s interest in Jenna Ortega's Wednesday and the fact that she had Xavier wrongfully arrested. Vincent could be threatening Wednesday to stay away from his son, with his potential identity as the stalker being more dangerous due to his wealth, power, and past connections to the Addams family. Even if Vincent isn’t connected to the stalker, he’s apt to play a sinister role in Wednesday season 2.

Yoko Tanaka

Wednesday Season 1 Yoko Vampire

While Wednesday season 1 doesn’t give any reason why the vampire Yoko Tanaka would stalk and threaten Wednesday Addams, she’s still suspicious considering little to nothing is known about her. Yoko is often mentioned by Enid, with Wednesday’s werewolf roommate even briefly moving into Yoko’s room. However, it’s unclear how Yoko feels about Wednesday or the truth behind her connection to the 2022 Netflix original show's murder mystery, so she could be threatening Wednesday for an undisclosed reason. Yoko also reasonably could have been at the Weathervane when Wednesday got coffee with Tyler, and was confirmed to be at Nevermore when Wednesday received her phone.

Coach Vlad

Wednesday Season 1 Coach Vlad

Another figure from Nevermore Academy who is suspicious due to their mysterious background is Coach Vlad, the fencing instructor at the outcast school. It’s unclear what species Vlad is, and he even nearly stops Bianca from evacuating the school when Joseph Crackstone attacks Nevermore in Wednesday’s season 1 finale. Although Vlad would still likely favor Wednesday Addams due to her fencing skills, not enough is known about the Nevermore Academy coach to clear him of being the stalker.

Connie Jorgensen

Wednesday Season 1 Connie Jorgensen

While she’s only briefly seen in Wednesday season 1, the character Connie Jorgensen seems to have more strange connections to the outcasts than Netflix's Addams Family show lets on. The proprietor of Uriah’s Heap, Connie appears when Ajax and Enid work in the antique store on Outreach Day. The character wears clothes that are incongruent with Jericho’s norms, is protective over the store’s stuffed roadkill, makes mysterious tea from mushrooms, and forbids Enid and Ajax from taking coffee breaks. Thing later purchases the black dress that Wednesday wears to the Rave’N from Connie, suggesting she has connections to Nevermore Academy. It’s unclear why she would stalk Wednesday’s title character, but the Jericho normie is still a suspect.
