A new image from the set of WeCrashed shows Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway as WeWork execs. Based on the podcast of the same name, WeCrashed is an upcoming AppleTV+ limited series. The show will track the greed-filled rise and fall of WeWork, the valuable shared workspace startup, and the chaotic couple at the company’s center. Jared Leto stars as WeWork co-founder Adam Neumann, who stepped down as CEO in 2019 following allegations of employee mistreatment, mismanagement, and abuse of power. Anne Hathaway stars as his wife Rebekah Neumann, who faced similar claims of misconduct.

A new photo courtesy of EW offers the first look at Leto and Hathaway as the Neumanns. The pair look cool and collected even as they’re embroiled in scandal, wearing sunglasses and holding hands as they walk through what appears to be a workplace. Leto—who recently transformed for his role in House of Gucci—looks more like himself here, merely donning a simple nose prosthetic to more closely resemble Neumann. He’ll reportedly also adopt the ex-CEO’s Israeli accent. Check out the first-look image below:

Lee Eisenberg and Drew Crevello will serve as showrunners on WeCrashed. In addition to Leto and Hathaway, WeCrashed will also feature America Ferrera, Kyle Marvin, Theo Stockman, and O. T. Fagbenle. Hathaway most recently appeared in the COVID-era heist film Locked Down, while Leto’s recent credits include The Little Things, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, and the aforementioned House of Gucci.

WeCrashed is one of many tech-centric series currently in development, including the tech anthology series Super Pumped and two different Elizabeth Holmes projects. Eisenberg says that the characters in WeCrashed, however, set the series apart. "What separates [WeCrashed] from other things we've seen in this genre is that we watch the story through the prism of this couple. We see this cult of personality within the business story, and then come home with them at night." WeCrashed is set to debut on AppleTV+ in the Spring of 2022.
