Ms. Granada

We Can Be Heroes Ms. Granada

While the rest of this list will focus on the young cast of characters, it's important to start with the least likable character in the film. The distinction belongs to Ms. Granada (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), the conniving alien spy who tricks the kids from the beginning.

Ms. Granada introduces herself as the kind leader of the Heroics Program who recruits the chosen gifted children to help save their parents. However, it's all an elaborate ruse meant to help her take over the world.

Ojo

Ojo We Can Be Heroes

As Ms. Granada's granddaughter, Ojo (Hala Finley) starts out as a cute young mute girl who only communicates through drawn artwork. However, she also proves to be a devious traitor in the end, which knocks her likability down quite a bit.

In the final act, Ojo reveals that could speak the whole time and serves as the Supreme Commander of the alien race. Despite her cruel trickery, Ojo redeems herself by admitting that she and her grandma faked the global takeover in order to train the children to become the next superheroes.

Rewind/Fast Forward

We Can Be Heroes Cast

Isaiah Russell-Bailey and Akira Akbar play the adorable twin characters, Rewind and Fast Forward, who possess the powers to alter the fourth dimension. Rewind can reverse time while Fast Forward can jump ahead in time.

The way in which the two characters rely on each other makes them very likable. Also, Rewind uses his powers to send the kids back in time to avoid a lockdown trap laid by a security guard.

Facemaker

We Can Be Heroes Facemaker

With one of the more likable skillsets, Facemaker (Andrew Diaz) has the superpower to form any face imaginable. At one point in the film, he uses the ruse to trick unwitting security guards into entering a trap for Guppy (Vivien Blair) to pounce on them.

A Capella

We Can Be Heroes A Capella

Played by the charming Lotus Blossom, A Capella is a child superhero who possesses the power of telekinesis through song. That is, she can move objects by singing. Since everyone enjoys music, it's hard to dislike A Capella.

At one point in the film, A Capella uses her specific skillset when Ms. Granada seals an escape route after spotting Missy (YaYa Gosselin) at Heroics Headquarters. Just as Ms. Granada closes in for the capture, A Capella sings a tune and forms a stairwell that allows the kids to escape onto the roof.

Noodles

We Can Be Heroes Noodles

Lyon Daniels plays Noodles in the film, a cool and casual character who is very easy to like. The way he can stretch his limbs and neck like Reed Richards of Fantastic Four fame makes him both funny and powerful in ways unlike some of the other characters.

After stealing security badges for the kids, Noodles good use of his superpower when Ms. Granada and her minions chase the children onto the roof of Heroics Headquarters. Using his outstretched limbs, Noodle obtains a vehicle for the kids to escape in.

Slo-Mo

We Can Be Heroes Slo Mo

In one of the more hilarious motifs in the film, the superheroic children are often held up by Slo-Mo (Dylan Henry Lau), a young boy who always travels in slow motion. The "skill" is made even funnier when considering he is the son of adult superhero Blinding Fast (Sung Kang).

Slo-Mo has one of the more redeeming arcs in the end when his skillset allows him to land softly after falling through the tunnel. Afterward, Slo-Mo picks up the altered motherboard circuit that Wheels built, which prevents the alien rocketship from taking off.

Wheels

We Can Be Heroes Wheels

As the brains of the entire operation, wheelchair-bound Wheels (Andy Walken) is one of the most compelling characters in We Can Be Heroes. Wheels possesses super-intelligence as his heroic power, which he uses to formulate a plot to thwart the alien takeover.

As one of the team leaders, Wheels is the one who hacks into the alien motherboard, replace it with a deactivated one to prevent an alien escape, and helps rescue Wild Card (Nathan Blair) from captivity.

Missy

We Can Be Heroes Missy

As the central character in the film, Missy Moreno (Gosselin) is the de facto leader of the heroic children. However, she is even more relatable because she does not possess superpowers and despite feeling inferior, proves her worth just the same in the end.

Missy overcomes her lack of superpowers by joining forces and befriending those who do. She redeems herself time and time again throughout the story en route to rescuing her superhero parents, Anita (Adriana Barraza) and Marcus Moreno (Pedro Pascal).

Guppy

We Can Be Heroes Guppy

Without question, the single-most likable character in We Can Be Heroes in Guppy (Vivien Blair), the hilarious and badass daughter of Sharkboy (JJ Dashnaw) and Lavagirl (Taylor Dooley).

Guppy has one iconic moment after another in the film, including harnassing her ability to turn water into any shape and unleashing her savage "shark strength." Guppy not only beats up every alien that gets in her way, but she also uses her skills to create a jail-key from the kids' crocodile tears and use it to escape imprisonment.
