In the gritty, realistic, twisted mythos of Watchmen, there existed a team called the Minutemen. The Minutemen were a group of superheroes in America of the 1940s before Doctor Manhattan changed the fate of superpowered beings forever. On the surface, it might look like any of the classic superhero teams like Justice League (previously known as Justice Society of America in its heyday) but Minutemen have often had their own share of conflicting internal politics and controversy.

This eventually led to their disbanding and paved the way for Watchmen. Featured in the comics, the film and TV adaptations, the Minutemen boasts of various members, each more diverse than the other. Check out whether you relate to any of the eight Minutemen based on your zodiac sign!

Libra: Captain Metropolis

Libras usually display diplomatic and idealistic traits. They are social beings with a desire to make a change and look at the bright side. This is how Nelson Gardner acts mostly and his diplomacy and hope helped him in creating superhero collectives like the Crimebusters and Minutemen. However, despite the fact that he had a gay black lover, he could get hypocritically problematic or act neutral in instances of racism.

This is, unfortunately, a negative trait of Libra as people with this zodiac sign are natural peacemakers. This peacemaking can make them leaders but still, they aren't very good at confrontations or resolving difficult decisions.

Aries: Silk Spectre

Sally Jupiter was the first woman to fight crime under the mantle of Silk Spectre. Apart from the whole controversy around The Comedian's unjust sexual assault against her, Silk Spectre was a very ambitious and self-confident personality. She wasn't just content with being a superheroine; she instead tried diversifying her work record trying her luck in Hollywood and real estate.

She was one of the most practical Minutemen, often engaging in opportunities that would increase her financial assets. Scorpios would relate to her for she's determined and ambitious.

Leo: The Comedian

Increasingly brave and short-tempered with an abundance of cockiness, The Comedian is a classic Leo. Despite all his courage and hyper-patriotism, his overconfidence gets in his way making him indulge in heinous acts like killing civilians in Vietnam and harassing Silk Spectre.

The Comedian started out in the Minutemen as a loud-mouthed baseball bat-wielding teenage 'thug'. Despite all his misdemeanors, The Comedian also retains certain Leo traits like displaying drama and flamboyance. Whenever his team turns against him, he resorts to seeking attention by acting all vivacious.

Taurus: Hooded Justice

Hooded Justice is widely referred to as the first costumed vigilante but nobody was sure of his actual identity, many thinking it's a white bodybuilder behind the hood. But the recent HBO miniseries offered a deeply personal glimpse into his personality as we see it's the identity shared by Will Reeves.

Disillusioned with corruption and racism in his police job, Reeves was determined to achieve justice in one way or the other. Till his old age, Reeves is shown as a very practical man who adapts well to his situations. All these qualities along with general stubbornness to always do the right thing makes him a good fit for a Taurus.

Cancer: Silhouette

A Jewish Austrian immigrant who migrates to America to avoid Nazi persecution, Silhouette has often followed her instinct like one of her cases that involved exposing a child pornography ring. Even when some of the members of the Minutemen indulged in self-glory and media attention, Silhouette always wished to help as many people as she could.

She suits Cancerians for she's kind, compassionate, and empathetic in her work approach. In this sense, she's probably one of the only characters in the team who hardly engages in any feuds. Unfortunately, the team is bound by the stigma of the 1940s and removes her when it's revealed that she's homosexual.

Aquarius: Nite Owl

Before passing on the cowl and the iconic aircraft to Dan Dreiberg, Hollis Mason adopted the alter ego of Nite Owl. Compared to the other members, Mason is a pretty simple and merry man with hardly any specific enemies or hardline views. In fact, his eye-opening autobiography that he wrote in retirement showed that he was a reasonable and socially-conscious man too in his time. Captain Metropolis called him an honest 'boy scout'.

Kindness and genuine camaraderie are what make Nite Owl a friendly Aquarius. He hardly has any ego-clashes and is humble enough to take digs at himself with his self-deprecating humor every once in a while.

Gemini: Dollar Bill

Dollar Bill in Watchmen Comic

A young college athlete, Dollar Bill like Silk Spectre made his financial ambitions pretty clear while joining the Minutemen. For this reason, he kept his identity public for any endorsements and was even hired by a bank for publicity purposes. In a darkly funny manner, he died in a shooting when his cape got stuck in a bank's revolving door.

From college to his superhero career, Dollar Bill was a pretty popular personality and it's this extroverted nature that makes him Gemini, the numero uno zodiac sign when it comes to making social connections.

Pisces: Mothman

A hero who glided in the air with two moth-like wings, Mothman was one of the last remaining members of Minutemen. He eventually got admitted to an asylum as his alcoholism and general weariness in life made him unstable and hallucinatory.

He's more like a Pisces for his erratic mood swings. Even before his final mental breakdown, Mothman is often depicted in both Watchmen and Before Watchmen comics as a feeble man who hides his emotions fear and stress. The very thoughts of catastrophes like the Second Worl war make him scared about the impending doom.
