Here Are The First 6 Pages of the Watchmen Sequel

DC Comics made it official at New York Comic Con, revealing that Geoff Johns' Doomsday Clock series is indeed a full on sequel to Watchmen and that'll it see some of its characters crossover with Superman, Batman, The Flash, and other icons from the DC Universe. This is what fans have been waiting for since the prologue DC Universe: Rebirth launched last summer and it's all made with the gorgeous and unique art of Gary Frank in the same nine-panel style as the Watchmen.

DC has been super secretive about what exactly Doomsday Clock would be about up until NYCC 2017, but after DC Rebirth #1 and The Button (the 4-part Batman/Flash crossover), it was only a matter of time before Johns picked up the threads these stories and the original masterpiece Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons established and added to it in big way.

Yesterday we spent some time with Geoff Johns at a private Doomsday Clock event where we were given an ashcan edition of the first six pages of Doomsday Clock #1 to read before he walked us through every page of the first book, offering deeper context on its characters and what we can expect from issue #2. Tonight, he shared those pages at the DC DOOMSDAY CLOCK panel which was moderated by TIME magazine's Lev Grossman (The Magicians) and so we're finally allowed to share these sent to us by DC Entertainment:
