Title Update 4.0 for Watch Dogs: Legion originally had a late April release window; however, a few issues forced the development team to postpone the update's launch to early May. The Title Update's forthcoming rollout will introduce a new playable hero, Mina Sidhu, and an accompanying mission for Watch Dogs: Legion Season Pass owners.

A host of free content will drop alongside the patch as well, providing all players with access to brand-new cooperative missions, a fresh batch of assignments, additional character customization options, and two extra characters - the latter of which constitute a DJ and first responder. Of course, fans can also expect the next major update to boast more bug fixes and game improvements, though the developer has yet to share patch notes that outline the specifics.

On the official Watch Dogs Twitter account, Ubisoft announced Watch Dogs: Legion's Title Update 4.0 will no longer launch this month as initially intended. The patch has instead been pushed to Tuesday, May 4, giving the development crew more time to iron out issues that require fixes ahead of the update's rollout. In addition, the extra time allows the team to further tackle any glitches players have previously reported through the Watch Dogs: Legion Bug Reporter. Ubisoft's announcement of the delay features in the post below:

Such delays aren't new to players familiar with Watch Dogs: Legion's post-launch releases. Developer Ubisoft Toronto also postponed the release of Legion's multiplayer to focus on bug fixes. And while PC players can now dive into the game's online shenanigans, that particular version of the cooperative mode endured a second delay. As always, though, delays are far more ideal than rushed releases.

Watch Dogs: Legion hit PC and consoles late last fall, making way for a new era of the tech-centric Ubisoft brand. Unlike the previous two entries, Legion does not revolve around a singular playable character such as Aiden Pearce or Marcus Holloway. Rather, players are allowed to assume the role of any NPC they stumble across while navigating the futuristic London setting. It's a fascinating premise, but the Watch Dogs series' overall tone remains a matter of great confusion.
