A new glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone is turning players invisible when they enter the game's recently-added mysterious red doors. The battle royale shooter, developed by Raven Software and published by Activision, allows gamers to battle across a massive open map. After launching in March 2020, the game has been supported by Raven through the release of updates and events.

Since its launch Warzone has become host to a growing community of hackers, but Raven has continued to fight back against cheaters. The developer recently banned 50,000 Warzone accounts for cheating, with two waves of bans removing large swaths of players from the free-to-play title. However, many players consider this tactic of large sweeping ban waves to be inefficient, and even hazardous to the game's honest players. It is possible for innocent accounts to be banned from the game in error, especially when accounts are being banned in such high volumes. Some fans propose more effective solutions, such as separating the easily hacked PC community from the game's console players. Banning large numbers of players is also less effective than actually removing the game's more prolific glitches, which are constantly taken advantage of by players. Warzone's infamous invisibility glitch, for example, has plagued the game since the start of its fourth season on June 17 and shows no signs of going away.

A report from PC Gamer reveals that Warzone's invisibility glitch has once again appeared, and it is now being caused by the game's mysterious red doors. Season 4 saw the addition of strange red doors around Warzone's map of Verdansk, which originally brought players to loot-filled rooms and were then changed to randomly transport users around the map. However, players have recently discovered that the red doors can also render them invisible. The slightly complex glitch requires players to prime a grenade, jump on a vehicle and then enter a red door. The glitch then renders them invisible, giving them an unbeatable in-game advantage.

The constant presence of glitches and bugs in Warzone spoils an otherwise well-made game, and the developer's efforts don't seem to be having much impact. Recent reports reveal that Raven Software hired over 100 people in the past year, including Far Cry 6 game director Ted Timmins, to aid in the development of Warzone. Unfortunately, this influx of new talent has done nothing to prevent new hacks and glitches from appearing in the game, but perhaps further measures will be taken by Raven in the near future.

Invisibility glitches, along with other exploits, give players an unfair advantage and ruin the balance of Warzone for everyone. Fixing these issues should be Raven Software's top priority, as the players have been incredibly vocal in their frustrations. If issues like this continue to persist, it is very possible that players will begin moving away from Warzone to another title.
