The Welgun SMG offers lethality and range perfect for short to medium range engagements. However, first the Welgun must be unlocked to use in Warzone.
Several weapons in Warzone need to be unlocked through completing challenges or reaching certain levels. For the Welgun, the player must get 10 kills with a submachine gun while aiming down sights in a single match 15 different times. Each match must be completed in its entirety by the player in order for the challenge to count.
Maxing out the Welgun to unlock all attachments will allow the weapon to be modified for any situation or game mode. The use of Warzone XP Tokens to level up the weapon faster is also an option to reach full attachment customization. These tokens will speed up the amount of XP earned by the player for a specific amount of time while in use.

- M1930 Strife Angled: Improves accuracy, aiming stability, and aim walking steadiness in Warzone Reloaded at the cost of sprint to fire speed.
- 62 Gorenko 40 Round Mags: Offers increased concealment when firing while increasing recoil control, accuracy, movement speed, and fire rate at the cost of bullet velocity, range, bullet penetration, and damage.
- Lengthened: Bullets with extra powder for increased muzzle velocity.
- Granular Grip: Improves aiming stability, aim walking steadiness, and aim walking movement speed.
- Gun Perk 1: Acrobatic: Increases movement speed and sprinting move speed.
- Gun Perk 2: Quick: Increases sprint speed.
