The Bruen MK9 LMG offers a competitive rate of fire and excellent stability. It is an air-cooled open bolt 5.56 light machine gun. However, the Bruen MK9 first must be unlocked to use in Warzone.
Several weapons in Warzone need to be unlocked through completing challenges or reaching certain levels. For the Bruen MK9, the player must get three kills when the enemy is near smoke using an LMG in 15 different matches. The match must be completed in its entirety by the player in order for the challenge to count.

- 60 Round Mags: While decreasing magazine ammo capacity and recoil control, it greatly increases aim down sight speed, sprint to fire speed, movement speed, and has a detachable magazine.
- Rubberized Grip Tape: Improves recoil control at the cost of aiming stability.
- Weapon Perk - FMJ: Increases bullet penetration and damage against equipment and killstreaks.
- Perk 1: E.O.D.: Players take 45% less damage from non-killstreak explosives in Call of Duty Warzone and fire. Increases throwback reaction time and negates the effects of Shrapnel.
- Perk 2: High Alert: The player's vision will pulse when enemies outside the line of sight view the player. Footsteps from players using Dead Silence are audible.
- Perk 3: Amped: Increased weapon swap speed and rocket launcher reload speed.
