One exceptionally lucky or incredibly skillful Call of Duty: Warzone player throwing-knifed an enemy player parachuting down to the streets of Verdansk in an amazing video posted on Reddit. Though it's unknown whether the player went on to win the match, they almost certainly got the craziest kill that game.

The constant chaos that takes place amidst millions of encounters in Call of Duty: Warzone results in regular video footage of impressive feats and unbelievable triumphs. Indeed, throwing a knife across the map on the off-chance that it will net an astonishing kill has been a recurring strategy in Call of Duty multiplayer since throwing knives were implemented in 2009's Modern Warfare 2Call of Duty: Black Ops introduced Theater Mode the following year, allowing players to capture footage of across-the-map tomahawk throws. In current CoD iterations, such as Warzone, consoles and PCs have built-in software that allows players to capture outlandish moments that occur on screen in real time.

A video posted on Reddit by user Expoogaloo shows the Warzone player take out a mid-air enemy with a seemingly impossible throw of a knife. As Expoogaloo is looting supplies and weapons around a corpse, the player hears the announcer say that an enemy soldier is incoming. Expoogaloo grabs the legendary Serpent Idol submachine gun next to the corpse and turns to look at the player parachuting in from above. After stepping forward to get a clear view, Expoogaloo quickly takes aim not at the player, but at the sky a few meters in front of the enemy. The player chunks a throwing knife in what would normally be a desperate and inadvisable move. Surprisingly, the knife nails the target.

The impact noise indicating a kill sounds out, and the iconic "Surgical" and "Elimination" icons pop up on screen. Because of the bizarre physics of the game, the player stops in mid-air where the throwing knife hit its mark before falling straight down onto the street. All of the action happens in the first six seconds of the ten-second clip. The remaining four seconds is simply Expoogaloo standing motionless on the sidewalk, presumably in awe at what just happened. In the comments, Expoogaloo notes, "To be honest it was kind of an accident."

Thousands of players a day across Warzone and Call of Duty multiplayer make random or seemingly impossible throwing knife shots in attempts to create incredible moments like the one in Expoogaloo's video. As unlikely as it is that an incredible kill is ever made, sometimes the circumstances are just right. Season 4 just dropped for Call of Duty: Warzone, so players looking to try their luck with random throwing knife flings will be able to earn plenty of new gear along the way.
