Editor's Note: A lawsuit has been filed against Activision Blizzard by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, which alleges the company has engaged in abuse, discrimination, and retaliation against its female employees. Activision Blizzard has denied the allegations. The full details of the Activision Blizzard lawsuit (content warning: rape, suicide, abuse, harassment) are being updated as new information becomes available.

The XM4 Assault Rifle can be a real threat in Warzone with a proper loadout. The Pacific content update has dropped and features an entirely new island to discover. Outside of new weapons, vehicles, and locations, the game also has received small balance changes to classic weapons. With new weapons joining the game through the battle pass, it's common for older weapons to be brought back or removed when a new season is introduced. While the XM4 has been around for a while, it still remains a decent choice for Assault Rifle users.

To unlock the XM4, players will need to reach level 4 of the Battle Pass. Fortunately, this isn't too difficult to do and can be completed within the first few games. Not only that, but this weapon is also unlockable in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. So if players unlock it in Warzone, it will also be available in Cold War and vice versa. Regardless, since the requirement is so low, most Warzone players might have already unlocked it without knowing.

To create the best loadout for the XM4, the player will need to level up the weapon individually. Doing this will reward the weapon with attachments to make it stronger and more accurate. This is entirely separate from leveling up the battle pass. The best loadout will focus on improving the weapon's damage and recoil control. These are the attachments to use.

Warzone Pacific: The Best MP40 Loadout
  • Muzzle: The Agency Suppressor increases damage range and prevents the player from appearing on the minimap when firing.
  • Barrel: The 13.5″ Task Force increases recoil control, range, and bullet speed. Although, the player will be a bit slower.
  • Optic: The Axial Arms 3x allows for better accuracy from longer distances.
  • Underbarrel: The Field Agent Grip helps in increasing accuracy.
  • Ammunition: The STANAG 60 Round increases how much ammo the player can hold at a time.
  • Perk 1: The E.O.D allows the player to withstand explosion damage.
  • Perk 2: The Ghost Perk prevents the player from appearing on UAV scans.
  • Perk 3: The Combat Scout will highlight enemies that the player has shot at, making it easier to keep track of them.
  • Lethal Equipment: Semtex
  • Tactical Equipment: The Heartbeat Sensor allows players to see enemy points through walls.

The XM4 Assault Rifle is a classic weapon in both Warzone and Cold War that continues to make its mark. Even after several different seasons of Warzone, this weapon has found a way into the hearts of players. However, it has remained relatively unaffected in patches outside of small balance changes. It's likely due to being unlockable so early. This allowed more time for players to get comfortable with the weapon, thus, unlocking all of its attachments even faster.
