A recently spotted Call of Duty: Warzone glitch may be unlocking Advanced UAV scans for free and potentially giving players unlimited map surveillance. The Advanced UAV is one of the more powerful killstreaks in Warzone as it allows players to see the locations of all their opponents on the map for a certain period of time. The opposite of the Advanced UAV is the harder-to-attain Counter UAV that scrambles the minimaps of opposing squads, making it more difficult for them to ascertain what’s going on around them.

Call of Duty: Warzone isn’t a stranger to bugs, with a new one seemingly encountered and reported every week. While some glitches aren’t really a problem due to their minor effect on the game itself and the rarity of them occurring, some can be potentially game breaking. Just recently, a new glitch that was allegedly introduced when the game’s Update 1.34 was released completely removes the glint effect people see when an opponent aims at them through sniper rifle optics, making them undetectable by players.

This latest glitch was encountered and shared by content creator Aydan (via Game Rant) who checked out the map right after getting killed and found that he could see every enemy on the map, similar to the effect of an Advanced UAV. It’s unclear how the bug occurred but it happened when Aydan opened the map right after the kill cam ended and the game switched to spectator mode. While the Advanced UAV glitch only lasted for about three seconds, it was enough for Aydan to inform his squad about where some of the biggest clusters of enemies were on the map.

The effect of the glitch is also different from the regular Advanced UAV as it showed red dots with tiny arrows to indicate elevation instead of the arrows that the Advanced UAV displays. The effect seen in the glitch is actually more akin to the regular UAV but spread throughout the entire map, which still makes the bug incredibly useful and potentially game breaking, similar to the aforementioned glint effect bug and the infamous infinite stim glitch which may have also made a return with the game’s latest update.

With all the glitches players are encountering in Call of Duty: Warzone, it’s surprising that the game is still able to maintain a large player base. Hopefully developer Raven Software finds a way to keep up with all the bugs that are regularly popping up and is able to fix most if not all of them in a timely manner.
