Warwick Davis has expressed an interest in appearing in the Fantastic Beasts films, which would make him one of the few actors to appear in both Wizarding World movie franchises. Davis played multiple roles in the Harry Potter movies, as he appeared as both Professor Filius Flitwick and Griphook the goblin, taking over the role from Verne Troyer when he was recast in the last Harry Potter movie.

The first Fantastic Beasts movie was set seventy years before the events of Harry Potter, which means many of the series' principle players have yet to be born. Some of the older characters from Harry Potter are present during the events of Fantastic Beasts, but the age difference is such that they have all been recast. The only actors who have appeared in both movie series and reprised their roles are Tony Regbo and Jamie Campbell Bower, who played the younger versions of Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald.

Warwick Davis is one of the few actors who appeared in every Harry Potter movie, yet he has never appeared in any of the Fantastic Beasts films. Recently, Davis told Express he would be interested in appearing in one of the Fantastic Beasts movies in a new role or reprising one of his older ones, should the opportunity present itself within the story.

“I’d love to be able to dip into that side of the wizarding world. Of course there are many characters in there and it would be nice if I was able to play. There’s certain crossovers as well... So, characters that I’ve already played could cross over into those stories.

If Warwick Davis did appear in the Fantastic Beasts movies then he would likely have to take on a new role, as it's believed Filius Flitwick wasn't born until the '50s. Griphook's age is never revealed in the text of the Harry Potter novels, but it's also unlikely he was very active during the Fantastic Beasts era. The production of the third Fantastic Beasts film isn't due to start until spring, so the producers of the movie still have time to write in a cameo for Davis and rush him down to makeup.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald under-performed at the box office, despite the fact the Harry Potter franchise is still basically a license to print money in other forms of media. It's possible the ingredient Fantastic Beasts movies are missing is a Warwick Davis cameo. The people running the Star Wars franchise clearly know this, as they keep bringing Davis back for more and more movies. Warwick Davis played six different roles in Solo: A Star Wars Storyso there is nothing stopping him playing the entire staff of Gringotts Bank in the next Fantastic Beasts film.
