Over the course of his impressive career, Warwick Davis has appeared in a number of films of various standards. As an actor, he is about as in-demand as one can be; he sits at the top of most directors casting lists when they are in need of a shorter character and provides a stellar performance every time without fail. Beyond his acting career, he simply seems like a lovely man.

We’ve taken a look at his IMDb and compared the five films he has appeared in which are considered the worst, to the five he has appeared in considered the best.

BEST: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (7.8)

In the midst of the incredible division created by the Star Wars sequel series, Disney released Rogue One, the first film that fans universally loved since The Empire Strikes Back. As with the majority of more recent Star Wars films, Davis was given a minor role (his first one in which he could wield a blaster).

This time, it was the role of Weeteef Cyu-Bee, a sniper who specialized in explosives and served alongside Saw Gerrera’s Partisans.

WORST: Leprechaun 6: Back 2 Tha Hood (3.9)

The Leprechaun looks concerned in Back 2 Tha Hood

The sixth (yes, you read that correctly) entry into a franchise that focuses on an evil Leprechaun played by Warwick Davis for six (!!) films isn’t even the worst-rated of the entire franchise.

Leprechaun 6: Back 2 Tha Hood is an, as you might expect, terribly reviewed film in which the titular Leprechaun ends up in ‘the hood’ once again.

BEST: Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens (7.9)

Before The Last Jedi could throw the future of Star Wars up in the air, The Force Awakens was seen as a great, if slightly unoriginal, continuation of the franchise.

Davis played Wollivan in the film, an even more minor role than his appearance in Rogue One. He appeared inside Maz Kanata’s castle, and was seen over at the droid ball fighting table.

WORST: Leprechaun 5: In The Hood (3.7)

Leprechaun 5 - Horror Movie So Bad It's Funny

Warwick Davis’ fourth-worst film role ever sees us returning to the Leprechaun franchise once again, and once again to ‘the hood’. Somehow, this film was rated even lower than its sequel.

This could come down to the general outline of the plot: the titular Leprechaun searches for his stolen magical flute, killing those who get in his way. Also, Ice-T is in it.

BEST: Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban (7.9)

Filius Flitwick holding a magical megaphone in Harry Potter

The best entry into the Harry Potter franchise happened to be the only one not to directly feature the physical presence of Lord Voldemort. It did, however, feature Professor Fillius Flitwick, the charming charms professor at Hogwarts.

He was present to conduct the choir at the start of the film and helped Dumbledore to protect the castle against the threat of Sirius Black.

WORST: Leprechaun 4: In Space (3.5)

Some were pretty confused when the fifth entry in the Ice Age franchise saw some surreal moments set in space, but that’s child’s play in comparison to the fourth Leprechaun film.

In Space injects a layer of sci-fi into the comedy horror series, which is considered to be a nonsensical, continuity-lacking shambles of a film.

BEST: Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (8.1)

Flitwick casts a spell in Harry Potter.

By the final film in the Harry Potter world, Filius Flitwick’s role had become a lot less essential. He remained as a teacher at Hogwarts and continued to attempt resistance against the Death Eaters that had infiltrated the school.

In the Battle Of Hogwarts, Flitwick was able to contribute by placing powerful charms around the building that helped to keep the Death Eaters out for longer. This wasn’t Davis’ only role in the film, however: he also played the deceptive goblin, Griphook, during the film’s opening.

WORST: Small Town Folk (3.3)

One of Warwick Davis’ lesser-known roles outside of the worlds of Harry Potter, Star Wars, and The Leprechaun is his appearance in 2007’s Small Town Folk.

Considering Davis’ fame, his appearance here alongside a mostly unknown cast doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. The horrendous reception to the film does, though.

BEST: Star Wars: Episode VI – Return Of The Jedi (8.3)

Arguably Warwick Davis’ most famous role was his first. As a twelve-year-old, Davis was cast as an extra in Return Of The Jedi. He was going to play an unimportant Ewok who wandered around in the background while Kenny Baker played the important role of Wicket.

When Kenny Baker was too ill to shoot, Davis was chosen to replace him. He was instantly loved by the entire cast and his career began from there.

WORST: A Very Unlucky Leprechaun (2.1)

Not many actors can say this, but Davis’ second venture into the world of Leprechauns came in 1998’s A Very Unlucky Leprechaun. It couldn’t be further from the franchise he appeared six times, as this film was an attempt at a light-hearted family film.

The effort was there, but the film would be considered one of the worst of all time if anybody had actually seen it.
