This shows the kindness that  Davis has for others. It's also very clear that it's a cause Davis fully believes in. He has such a personal connection with 'Peterborough's Special Care Baby Unit' due to how they treated his children when they had respiratory difficulties. A worthy cause.

Davis's website discusses his autobiography about his long acting career, and those he met along the way.

It makes sense for someone with such a varied acting career to write about his life. He has worked on so many different productions, which would give a lot of interesting material for him to write about. For example, one anecdote includes how he and his wife had a honeymoon on George Lucas's ranch and slept in the children's bedroom.

Davis has this to say about his theatre company on his website: "The Reduced Height Theatre Company was founded by me, Warwick Davis, and has been a dream of mine for many years. That dream was not only to appear in classic plays by distinguished playwrights but also to celebrate the diverse range of untapped acting talent that exists among the short actor community."

This shows just how Davis cares for the short actor community by providing other actors with a theatre company where they can showcase their talents in roles they might not otherwise get the opportunity to play. The theatre company opened with the farce See How They Run, which toured across the United Kingdom in 2014. The shows were just like other productions, but with a smaller cast, there are some differences. Davis says on his website that "Our costumes and sets are all bespoke, only to a smaller scale."

How He Got Cast in Star Wars

Warwick Davis as Wicket the Ewok and Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars Return of the Jedi Jakku

According to Looper, Warwick was a big Star Wars fan as a child, and in 1981 (when he was eleven years old) his grandmother heard a story on the radio about how they were looking for short actors to play the Ewoks. Davis wasn't so enticed by the acting aspect at the time, but was interested in being able to talk to "Luke" and "Leia."

This one event kickstarted Davis's long career. It is what led to him getting his first role of many in Star Wars. Davis might not have discovered his love of acting if it wasn't for the serendipity of his grandmother hearing the call for short actors. Movie fans might not have had the pleasure of experiencing Davis's many memorable performances in Willow, Harry Potter, Leprechaun, and so many more.
