WarioWare: Get It Together! recently released and Mario's infamous yellow-capped rival, Wario, seemingly promoted the game himself. The titular character took over the official Nintendo Twitter account - completely changing the account's name, profile picture and injecting his personality into a series of obscure messages and mindless voice tweets. WarioWare: Get It Together! is the tenth installment in the WarioWare game series, following the release of 2018's WarioWare Gold.

This is not the first time Wario reached out to fans via Nintendo's Twitter account. In 2003, the WarioWare series was inaugurated with WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames! for the Game Boy Advance. Its concept revolved around minigames and followed the story of different characters, all associates of Wario who were contacted by him to make games to sell as part of his new game company. Following a remake and several subsequent titles, in 2018 Wario "hacked" Nintendo's official Twitter account to promote the Nintendo DS' WarioWare Gold, marking the first time he villainously hijacked the account.

Posted as a string of tweets on Nintendo's official Twitter, Wario has taken to social media to promote his new Nintendo Switch game, WarioWare: Get It Together!. While each tweet is more of an established teaser for the game, some of the posts boost Wario's flavorful personality. In one tweet, Wario is seen choking and farting after nefariously laughing and telling fans that he swallowed garlic, his favorite food. Garlic is considered to be an ongoing Nintendo joke and the company continued to promote the character's attachment by sharing two more teasers of minigames related to the vegetable. After 3 hours of running the account, however, Wario departed by stating that he's "going back to playing [his] game" and those listening should check out WarioWare: Get It Together!.

WarioWare: Get It Together! continues the series tradition of tasking players with completing sets of minigames. Players must clear the presented objectives under the pressure of a set time frame. Rumors around this potential 2021 series installment first arose after a Nintendo survey this past June. The survey specifically asked if fans would be willing to pay $49.99 USD for another WarioWare game. Given this game's recent release, it appears most of those partaking in the survey responded in the affirmative.

Wario might be gone from Nintendo's official Twitter account now, but WarioWare: Get It Together! offers an additional adventure for players who want more of the crass character and are looking for unique minigame-focused gameplay. Wario could also return to Nintendo's Twitter sometime in the future, if the past is of any indication.
