Out of all the enemies that players are forced to face off against in Warhammer Vermintide 2, the most difficult is the Lords. These are the final boss battles of each act, and each one has unique skills and abilities that make them difficult to bring down. These Lords shouldn't be confused with normal Monster Bosses, as they are far more difficult to handle and can bring down a whole party very quickly.

The first of these Lords that players will encounter is Burblespue Halescourge. He is a sorcerer that players will be forced to take down at the end of the Halescourge mission. Even if players decide to attempt this fight on Recruit, they will most likely have problems with the Lord. This guide is here to help players understand Burblespue's attacks and the best way to take him down.

Warhammer Vermintide 2: Burblespue's  Attacks

Burblespue Halescourge actually resembles a weaker special enemy, the Blightstormer. Players should not let this deceive them as he is incredibly powerful and brings a lot more abilities to the table. Players will need to worry about four attacks from him and two abilities:

Plague Wave- This attack is area of effect and the attack that will be used most often to deal damage against players. This attack comes out as a cone directly in front of Burblespue and is not able to be blocked. It will cause damage over time.

Pestilence Possession- This ranged attack will be used on only one target at a time. Once Burblespue moves to the upper area of the environment he can fire this projectile at players, which will damage them while also preventing them from attacking or moving. Players cannot block this attack but can attack the projectile to stop it.

Plague Storm- This is another AoE attack like Plague Wave, but it is much larger. Burblespue will raise his hands and send out copies of himself that spread throughout the arena. Players who are hit will take damage. This attack is unblockable.

Scourge Squall- Another large AoE attack that Burblespue will use when he teleports back to the main floor. This spawns a large green whirlwind that covers almost the entire floor.

Teleportation- Burblespue will teleport to one of the corners of the room to get away from the players, or even to the upper level to do his ranged attack.

Reinforcements- Burblespue will call in reinforcements of Rotbloods to come and fight the player.

Warhammer Vermintide 2: Burblespue Strategy

As long as players play it smart and safe against Burblespue they will make it out of this fight alive. This issue with this fight is that the Lord is capable of a lot of AoE attacks and the space is very confined. This means that players will want to stay on the outside edges of the arena so that they have more time and space to avoid these attacks when they come. The upside to playing this way is that Burblespue is constantly teleporting. This means that instead of chasing him around the stage, all four players can pick a corner of the environment to stand-in. When he teleports close to them they can rush in to attack, but when he goes away they can return to their corner and use their ranged weapons to attack from afar.

Eventually, the Lord will teleport to the upper level away from players and fire his ranged attack, while also summoning reinforcements. If someone is hit by the possession spell, their teammates should hit them with an attack. This will clear the possession and allow them to rejoin the fight. Melee focused fighters should try to fight the reinforcements while ranged attackers should attack Burblespue. As soon as reinforcements are taken care of, players should move away from the center as Burblespue will proceed to teleport to the middle and use an AoE attack.

The fight will continue with this pattern until Burblespue is dead. Players should work as a team and try their best to avoid his AoE attacks as often as possible. Those who keep these things in mind will make their way through the fight in no time.
