Toys for Geeks: War Machine Collectible Figure

When geeks are kids we love to play with toys from our favorite comics, cartoons or what have you. When we grow up, we still want to play with those toys but for some reason society frowns upon us doing so in public.  If I walk into Toys ‘R Us and start looking at the Barbie Dolls without my daughter, then I get some really funny looks. Of course, maybe I shouldn’t seat all the dolls together at a table and make them have a “conversation” - but I digress.

So how do geeks everywhere continue to buy and play with dolls after grade school? By calling them “collectible figures” and paying twice the price, of course.

"Collectible figure" maker Hot Toys has released their next series of figures from their Iron Man 2 line, which boasts a very impressive looking War Machine figure. Thanks to a heads up from /Film, we've posted some pictures and a description of the figure below for your perusing enjoyment. Feel free to “geek out” along with me.

This all looks pretty cool and I notice that War Machine has both hand and chest repulsors, which means we will most likely see those firing off at some point during the film. I assume War Machine will employ those devices when he runs out of bullets?

By the way, did anyone else find this detachable head with Don Cheadle’s face on it extremely creepy?

What do you think about the incredible detail Hot Toys has included in their War Machine figure and would you consider adding it to your collection?
