The first trailer for WandaVision has been a huge hit, as it was watched more than 50 million times in the first 24 hours after its release. Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) have been supporting characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the last five years, but their love story has resonated with fans. It has also been a big plot point for the MCU, especially in Avengers: Infinity War. And even though Vision died at the end, Wanda will bring him back on Disney+.

WandaVision  was originally going to be released next year. but a series of changes and delays has now put it in position to be the first MCU Disney+ series and arrive in 2020. Fans only caught a glimpse at the series during the Super Bowl, but Marvel surprised many by dropping the first WandaVision trailer during the Emmys. The surprise factor of the release and the content of the trailer itself led to a lot of conversations about the Disney+ series, and now we know just how big of draw the trailer was.

According to a report from Deadline, the trailer for WandaVision was watched 53 million times during the first 24 hours of its release. This is believed to be the largest view count ever in this time span for a streaming service's show ad. The outlet notes that WandaVision's 50M+ views crush every movie trailer that came during Super Bowl weekend this year, including Black Widow's 18.7M views.

With this level of interest already, Disney and Marvel now have evidence to show just how big WandaVision and other MCU Disney+ shows could be for the service. Still, it is worth noting that this figure doesn't come close to the level of success Marvel has experienced with trailer launches. The first trailer for Avengers: Endgame currently holds a record with 289M views in the first 24 hours.

That might make WandaVision's 53M views seem less impressive, but the claim that it's the biggest launch for a streaming show means it's already topped the likes of The Mandalorian, Stranger Things, and more in terms of interest. If this high level of interest in WandaVision remains or even continues to build, there is a good chance that Disney+ could be in for a huge increase in subscribers. The service's last reported subscriber count was just north of 60M, but it is highly unlikely that everyone who watched WandaVision's trailer is already signed up for Disney+.

It isn't difficult to see why there is already so much excitement in WandaVision either. The trailer makes the first MCU show look unlike anything the MCU movies have done before, and there are plenty of details included in the WandaVision trailer that have sparked theories. As more people continue to check out the trailer and join in on the speculation, interest in WandaVision could only continue to grow and bolster Disney+'s future.
