WandaVision star Paul Bettany reacts to Marvel Cinematic Universe fan theories in a new video. Even before the first episode of WandaVision debuted on Disney+, MCU fans have been crafting theories about all aspects of the show. Now that over half of the episodes have launched, viewers have a much better understanding of what story Marvel Studios is telling. Yet, a lot of mysteries still remain at WandaVision's core. The answers that have been given have certainly shot down certain ideas, but in many cases, each episode provides new information to launch more speculation.

There is no shortage of WandaVision theories floating around the internet at the moment. Evan Peters's appearance as Quicksilver sparked several about possible connections between the MCU and Fox's X-Men universe. In contrast, others have made this Pietro the latest candidate to be connected to a Mephisto reveal. Other prominent theories revolve around the identity of Monica Rambeau's secret contact, what SWORD is really up to, and the possibility of WandaVision introducing mutants to the MCU. With so many ideas about what direction the show will go, Bettany is now reacting to some of them.

For a new video with Esquire, Bettany reacted to multiple WandaVision fan theories and other articles that pertain to his acting career. The MCU theories touch on various topics, and for the most part, Bettany can neither confirm nor deny their legitimacy. Still, he gives his thoughts on the idea that Vision knows he is in a TV show, whether Doctor Strange will appear, and if Mephisto has a role.

While most of Bettany's reactions to these WandaVision theories are the standard non-answer given by MCU actors to preserve possible surprises, a few of his responses do stand out. Most notably, that the much-discussed secret cast member has yet to be seen. Many believed that Evan Peters' Quicksilver was the hyped cameo, but Bettany indicates that is not the case saying there is still one character/actor who has not been revealed. He once again teased that this mystery star is someone he's wanted to work with for a long time and that they have a few scenes together.

The other response that is sure to catch fans' attention is how Bettany reacts to the idea of Mephisto appearing in WandaVision. He says that it isn't something he can talk about "right now" because he's worried about getting fired. While he later indicates that a Mephisto reveal won't involve Dottie, this certainly adds credibility to the theories Marvel's devilish character will appear. WandaVision only has a couple of episodes left before it ends, so fans thankfully won't have to wait too much longer to see the show's secret actor and possibly Mephisto (who could be one and the same even).
